1. I started this topic over at the Yahoo! Rotus group, and there seems to be some interest. So here's a thread to continue the discussion... We can upload pictures, etc... here, and keep the conversation from getting mixed up in emails and other messages. The picture that started this discussion was this: http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/2005-11-09_143147_wa7004e.jpg So far, Don (dtelite) introduced himself and his company as being able to build something like this, and we've had some good suggestions from Dan Owens as a start to our wishlist of design features.
 2. Thanks for the measurement. I'm taking mine apart tonight to get the pedal shortened, and move the master cylinders lower. Should be relatively easy. Please post some pics of your car in the General section.
 3. Do you have more info on that car? I wonder if that's Joe's car - earlier in its life?
 4. Well, it's taking a long time For what it's worth, Toyota dealers no longer carry any of the front brake parts. They still carry the rear Supra parts. Give me a call...
 5. First here's a shot of what the bracket looks like. This is one of the early brackets, which is different than what most of you probably have: http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/pict0236.jpg The dimension measured below is from the top bolt of the clutch flange, to the sheet metal. it is the same dimension from the top bolt of either master cylinder as well. With my new cylinders, this is too high - The hood doesn't shut properly. http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/pict0234.jpg Also, as you see below, the push rods are completely out of alignment, and that's probably b/c the pedal was cut and shortened at some point. http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/pict0235.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/slngsht/pict0237.jpg Anyway, I can make a new bracket, but I'm wondering if the later style brackets locate the master cylinder at a lower position. If so, I will try to get one through Dennis.
 6. I carry them in my wallet, until I redo the dash. There is plenty of space behind there for a small glove box.
 7. 2.5" is alot, but i think it's doable. Mine has a little black spacer that is used for separating the wheel from the dash, at that is about 2.5", so i suppose the adaptor wouldn't result in a bigger gap. What does Dennis recommend?
 8. Good luck. It'll be alot of fun.
 9. Car is registered and on the road!
 10. 1- After I get her on the road 2- Some point soon 3- There is a little storage area 4- Don't know yet. I'll see how effective it is when it gets a little cold. Problem is that if I take it out, I have a hole there. 5- Radio is worthless... don't even know if I have speakers in there. Won't be able to hear it anyway 6- I have to cut the hood some more. I can't remove the hood very easily now. Needs a scoop. 7- I guess. didn't even notice that in person smileys/smiley36.gif[/img]

<blockquote data-ipsQuote= Very nice! Looks great sitting still! Dual exhaust! Q: Are you going to do the ET light mod yourself? How will you do that? Q: Are you going to add a removable steering wheel mechanism? Q: What's under the canvas cover? Did it come with the car? Q: Are you going to keep the heater setup? Q: How's the radio? Where are the speakers? Q: How much gas does your tank hold? Q: How well does the air intake fit the hole in the hood? Q: No rearview mirror? I guess the sides will do. How about a pic of the dash and label the functions of the switches and gauges? Rob Mitchell, Atlanta, GA (waiting for my Red Rotus to be done!)

 19. Dennis mentioned the availability of custom uprights. He said they cost roughly about $600. I'd love to see pictures of those too, if you get the time.
 20. Lifted from Joe's yahoo Rotus user group... >Parts List
 21. Dennis mentioned they have made some custom ones in the past to accomodate larger brakes. Anyone have any experience with them?
 22. Stopped by Dennis' and actually drove the car today smileys/smiley4.gif[/img]

Still a few things left, and the brakes definitely need some attention, but it felt great to actually get in and drive her up and down the street.

Steering effort was much lower than i thought, and i would've liked the ratio to be quicker.

Still need side view mirrors, rear license plate light, and wipers, and a couple of odds and ends, and she's off to inspection.

The car was actually pretty comfortable... at least for my 5 minute test drive
