  1. Stabil also works good in my boat, weed wacker and my lawn mowers.
  2. Hehe I am considering purchasing the engine-trans-driveshaft assembly out of a merkur right now as a spare that i can mod at my leisure. Though I would love to have a skyline as they are super fast and durable. So many cars, so little money.
  3. Is anyone planning on bidding?
  4. Hehe Evidently nobody else did, cus is gone.
  5. Not that I could find. Lots of soft tops, but thats ok, a decent top won't be hard to make, will it be pretty.....uh.....well......, form follows function right?
  6. hehehe do I see an LS7 in your future?
  7. Wonder what it will actually go for. Thoughts on the value vs what it will go for?
  8. I kinda thought the older engine added some age to the car coming from the same time period as the old 7's. (and they were cheaper)
  9. There are a few companies that specialize in the 215. Which is where i was planning on getting most of my parts from is below. Engines with t5 trannies are in the $450 range. These guys responded fast to questions. Yeah, S2000's are probably the best, and can make insane power if thats where you want to go. And still stay light. www.aluminumv8.com When you say SVO, you mean the Mustang? Thats what mine is from. Full engines for those run in the 350 range. I am currently looking at a spare from a merkur including a t9 for 325 pretty much complete.
  10. Of interest may be some of Sam Buchanan's Stalker mods. The doors and the heater are pretty slick. My mouse is acting up for some reason, won't link. But search and ye shall find.
  11. Well, was told can probably play, but not for points or trophies, which is all i wanted anyway. Check the Rally Lotus under the rally section on the SCCA forums for the info in interested. I doubt if this were a real lotus or higher end LSIS i would do it, but looks fun to me.
  12. The old buick 215 (newer versions are rovers) and t-5's are solid pretty light. 300 hp isn't to difficult either, but as said, HP isn't a big deal with 7's.
  13. There are a bunch. Slngsht has one here. On locostusa.com in the build section there are 4 or so that I can think of. You'll also find an incredible amount of info on building over there. It will take weeks just to digest all that stuff, and if like me, waffle back and forth over what you want after seeing all thats out there for these.
  14. Unless building a light weight version, I wouldnt worry about the brakes too much either. Drums work fine, look at the Stalker guys. Not sure if there are disc conversions if you want them on the rear, but there probably are with it being Toyota. I am using a 7.5 out of a mustang on mine (+4).
  15. I'll have 2 sets, though I probably have less invested in them than most in one set. My street set, which will, like yours be all purpose, and my rally set, which will also be all purpose, but a more agressive tread pattern, but I will still drive to the track either way and drive home. Well, got another response on the SCCA forums, looks like round 3 has started.
  16. As its probably my redneck nationalism, but top gears cool stuff is balanced by its yuck attitude toward American vehicles. Always wanted to see a round two in the one with the atom vs the dodge ram on the track. But in part two pulling a 20 foot boat, will four people in it and the gear needed for a day at the lake. Of course the atom would have to do what the dodge did in the same time. I mean, if we are gonna put the apple in with the oranges, you gotta put the orange in with the apples too. Have to admit, i had some humorous moments imagining the atom, festooned will a trailer hitch and people hanging off of it. Though, before i draw the ire of atom folks, I like the atom, so don't get me wrong. As to favorite thing to watch, it probably the nuts guys from Denmark/Greenland etc racing those insane hill climbs and other off road races. When they raced the hill climb jeep vs the snowmobile across the lake........
  17. Well, struck out. Guess time to head to the SCCA rally forums and see how many different ways i can be told no. Good thing its something all teenage boys heard often and learned to understand. :banghead:
  18. Four also can have a top. Though good luck finding a factory top, as i think only 10 had it. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1216009292_S4top Factory.jpg
  19. My wife loves the S4 more than all others, including modern ones.
  20. Yeah, he is high class and could care less if its public or not when he does something.
  21. If my titans find some offense they might be dangerous. The rams have been bitten hard by the injury bug. They will not finish the season without a win, some of thier guys are coming back.
  22. Heheh I hoped that at least in the process of losing they would at least give the pats some pain and bruises. Man, the game next week between indy and the pats should be something to see!
  23. Well, i guess you could call it a learning experience. Man what a beating.
  24. heheh as a youngster, i got no end of amusement from the sign we passed when getting on the autobahn. Haben sie gut Farht or something to that effect. I was told it meant have a good drive or something like that.
