  1. There is a gentleman who works out of Hillbank in Irvine, named Bob Caser, who will handle the whole process for a fee. I worked with him. Mine is a 420R and we ended up having to replace the plate on the driver’s side of the dry sump Duratec 2.0 engine with an optional plate that includes the PCV valve and plumbing it to the intake manifold and then plumbing fresh air line from the oil catch can to the air filter housing. Once these mods were made we passed the BAR inspection. whole process did take a long time because of confusion over what the BAR would accept as a PCV system. Once that was clear and we made the mods it went easy.
  2. Old topic, but just got my SB100 last Wednesday on a brand new 420R that I received a year and a half ago!
  3. Hi All, I keep finding myself looking things up and watching for cars on your site so I figured it must be time to join. A Seven is one of those cars I always wanted since highschool in the '70s, but I still have never owned one, though even back then my first car was an Austin Healy Sprite and the second a Sunbeam Tiger. I finally got another long-term dream car, my Cobra (actually Superformance Mk III), almost two years ago and a few months ago thought I might buy a new Caterham from Hillbank, where I bought my Cobra, but found out that it currently isn't really possible to register a new one in the lovely state of CA. I've been watching for one that has a CA SB100 registration already, preferably as new as possible and probably an SV being that I am 6' 2" 200 lbs. A nice one sold on BaT today, but after quite a bit of consideration decided I really want a more recent build. I've always liked cars and have had a few fun ones in my past. Currently in addition to the Cobra I have a 2018 Porsche 911 GT2RS, a 2008 Hemi-swapped Jeep Rubicon Unlimited and a 2018 F150 and then there is my wife's Macan S. I honestly have too many hobbies (boat, fishing, cruising with my wife..) to need another car and really need to get rid of a coupe motorcycles and about 5 bicycles to make room in my garage anyway, but if there is a newer Caterham out there for sale with a CA SB100 registration, I doubt I will be able to resist. Nice to meet you all, Jim
  4. You’re right, if I get rid of the BMW motorcycle I don’t ride anymore that currently resides between these two and the dirt bike and about 5 extra bicycles that are now on the other side of the Cobra (I was still moving in when pic was taken), I could probably squeeze a 7 between and let my wife keep her car in the 3rd stall...
  5. I don't have a Seven yet and I've been watching for a CA car. I was planning to bid on that one but early bidding is getting up there and it would put my wife's car out of the garage anyway until I can see about a lift to stack a couple. There is a Superformance Mk III Cobra in mine too :)
