  1. Jon, where did you get the aluminum tank?
  2. Thank you. This is great. I'll cut out some cardboard versions and try it out.
  3. Recently acquired a 1964 Seven S2 race car that came with vintage type racing seats. I do not fit in the seats and would like to reinstall the stock bench seats (which will allow me to fit down in the car), which the car did not come with. Does anyone have the dimensions for the seat back and seat bottoms plywood blanks? I am planning to buy the bench seat vinyl kit from Redline Components and want to make sure I have the correct size pieces. Thanks.
  4. There is a beautiful Caterham up for auction on Cars and Bids. Like new all around. No association. https://carsandbids.com/auctions/3vYkXyLj/2020-caterham-super-seven
  5. Elans and Europas steel wheels were indeed 4x3.75, but the wheel width is only 4.5".
  6. A Pinto 2.0l with the FOG (Ford of Germany) gearbox will work, or there are plenty of vendors in the UK that have them.
  7. Not sure if this car has already been posted... 1962 Seven race car https://www.ebay.com/itm/355538936946
  8. That is a standard cam cover (other than the mods). There were three different cam covers. The early one with "Lotus" down the sides, this one (middle years) with Lotus over the chain cover, and later, the big valve cam cover that is ribbed down the sides and says "Lotus Big Valve" on the chain cover.
  9. Now sold, thank you. One set of original Minilite wheels in 13 x 6 size. Lug nuts included, 3/8"-24 thread. $800 plus shipping from 98032, or local pick up welcomed.
  10. Looks like the BIN went away with the bidding. Currently at $8800.
  11. Does anyone know how much the S4 Seven was selling for in Louisville? The ad is now removed. Thanks. Lotus Super Seven - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale (craigslist.org)
  12. What are the dimensions of the oil tank? Can you post a picture of the JB Weld area? Thanks!
  13. Many years ago I purchased a GEMS model MDLS2 (ignition only) with dual 40 DCOE carbs for standard black top Zetec as a Caterham cast-off. I am just now getting around to looking at it and thinking about where I want to install it. I looked at the GEMS website and found one document for the connections. It looks like it needs a hall effect distributor, but knowing that the Zetec has a 36-1 flywheel and crank sensor and no distributor, I wonder if if it used the stock Ford sensor. I have no idea how it was set up originally on the Caterham. So I am looking for help. Googling on this system comes up pretty much empty handed, so I was hoping anyone with a unit like this still on their car, or with wiring/connection diagrams could help me out with how is it connected. GEMS makes it difficult to see the curves or to do any re-programming unless you buy their £200 dongle for the software, and that doesn't make sense to me when I can buy a new Megajolt ignition only system for $200. Thanks in advance. Dan
  14. That same Seven S4 just sold a few weeks ago on ebay for $15,101. I wish them luck. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Lotus-Super-Seven-/283755452973?hash=item4211249a2d%3Ag%3AZKcAAOSwT6leHeTO&nma=true&si=4vggvtunW%252FDxj5DwOSYCZRzzdvs%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  15. Alfonse is right. This header is for a Duratec. It won't fit the 2.3 Lima motor (if that's what you have). If you happen to have the Duratec motor, you're golden. If you decide you want the header, it's $175 plus shipping from 98296. If you do have the Lima 2.3, look around on some of the Merkur or Pinto/Bobcat forums or http://www.esslingeracing.com/.
  16. Nick, I have an unused 2.3 header, but you would need to fabricate the rest of the exhaust system. I bought it for a front wheel driver project and it never happened. I'm attaching a couple pictures so you can have a look. I also have a dual side draft intake manifold for the 2.3, but I'm guessing you already have what you need for that. Dan
  17. Seven S4. A little pricey in my opinion. https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/cto/d/71-lotus-super-7/6679090171.html
  18. The bell housing from a 2.0l Pinto that has the Ford of Germany (FOG) transmission will bolt up to the T-9 and the Kent engine pattern. The rub comes in using the crossflow starter. You may have to look elsewhere for that.
  19. The Series 4 Seven used the remote extension on the gearbox as well as the Lotus Cortina Mk1. I'm not sure about other series of Sevens. If the cam cover is original, my best guess would be that it's from a Lotus Cortina.
  20. 1979 Lotus Super Seven Roadster Twin Cam San Francisco Caterham with BDA (but likely a BDR), price raised to $27,000. Wasn't this car at $23k at some point in the past? That's what I remembered, but who knows. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/5975578354.html
  21. I have an aftermarket intake manifold for a twin cam Zetec motor (like the one pictured). Does anyone know if it will fit the Zetec SVT motor? Thanks, Dan
  22. Hi David, Where are you located? I could pick it up this weekend if it's still available. Thanks, Dan
  23. I might be interested in the engine.
