  1. Love the neon 7, that’s a great find.
  2. @IamScotticus, that’s are really nice airbox, thanks for sharing it. I think it I need to change my setup! I also appreciate the link on the S4 development. I had not previously seen it. This Forum is truly amazing!
  3. @wdb, that’s an interesting thought. The S4 manual show a box type unit, but with an air inlet in the front of the unit, which is different than the pancake style installed. I need to see how much space exists between the filter and Bonnet to see what I can fit. Thanks for your insight.
  4. @MV8thanks for your thoughts. I may try to repurpose a round and see what luck I have shaping a filter. I’m also going try and straighten and reseal where needed as you recommended. I was a little concerned with the bent areas, but overall the other side is much better.
  5. @JohnChthanks for the recommendation to the OZ Club, I’ve also found the NZ Club, so maybe one of the will recognize it. @mrmustang the KN Tech was my first try. I agree it certainly looks like a KN filter, but they didn’t have any details. I never thought it would be a challenge finding a filter, but worst case I’ll install a couple of low profile KN. Thanks both for your help.
  6. Thanks for your feedback and insight @JohnCh, I agree the others may work out. I’ll also look at the ITG. I was hoping someone would recognize it. part of the issue may be the car was originally made in NZ (Steel Bro) so it might have been a somewhat custom part. Thanks again
  7. I’m on the hunt for an air filter for my S4. It’s a BV TC running Dellorto DHLA carbs. I’ve been unsuccessful finding a replacement, and thought it was a K&N based on the sticker, but no joy there. The assembly covers both carbs showing measurements, and installed on the car. I don’t want to cut into the Bonnet. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  8. @wdb nice illustration, I’m not a FB person, so I it’s unknown to me. I appreciate you sharing it! Have a great ‘25.
  9. Perfect weather made a 7 cruise mandatory today. Really just delightful, and such great cars but you all know that!
  10. Hey @slowdude thanks for that. I’m assuming the heater is 1500w, I’ll have to try that and see how it works. I know it’s undersized, but hey, anything would help.
  11. Hey @Marek thanks for that information. I had contemplated doing that, but based on my garage size it was larger than needed. I’ll probably go with a small electrIc heater to keep it workable in winter. How’s your Rotus going?
  12. Thanks @JohnCh, I appreciate your feedback. Looks like a standard heater will do the job. The unit you have isn’t available any longer but I’ve found others that are similar.
  13. I realize this is an old topic. I’m looking to install an electric, ceiling mounted garage heater, about 5K KW for a 600 +/- sf garage. I’m curious if people installed explosion proof units in their garages, or standard units. Any thoughts from the community are appreciated!
  14. Anthony, Welcome to the fun! I’m finding your blog and 1700 BDR info very interesting. I have a very early 1600 BDR, and there’s a couple more on the site I believe. Enjoy!
  15. Just want to let you know, I’m enjoying your episodes, they are great, and I’m happy you’re bringing a rare 7 back. I’ve always thought an 907 would be a good engine and something I had thought about trying to build. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing your journey!
  16. Here’s an interesting car at Sodo Moto https://sodo-moto.com/listings/lotus-super-7-6/
  17. I’m currently using 110 leaded. Here’s a link to sites offering e-0, in various grades by state in case you haven’t seem it. https://www.pure-gas.org
  18. Hi @CarlB thanks for that info, I’ve looked at their site and they have similar wheels on offer. Much appreciated!
  19. Hi everyone, My Caterham is running 15” Panasport G7 rims of 3 piece construction. I’m looking for information on the wheels and reached out to Panasport in the US but they didn’t have any details on them. Has anyone ever run across these type of wheels and possibly have information about them? Thanks in advance for any help!
  20. Just a brief update, the cause seems to have been the pressure plate stuck to the flywheel. The clutch was out of adjustment as well with no free play. After running the car for 20 minutes the issue resolved, and I was able to shift, run and drive. Will see what happens. New clutch cable also coming, Thanks for everyone’s help
  21. @slowdude thanks for the offer, was delayed in getting back into it, but I’ll definitely let you know. I appreciate it.
  22. Thanks @MV8 and @IamScotticus for your feedback and guidance. I’ll be getting back into it later today and post an update.
  23. Idle seems ok, maybe 650 rpm, I’ve also tried varying the revs to see if it made any difference, and it didn’t. I’ll need to get my scope and place into the bell housing to investigate more I think.
  24. I’ve checked the cable and the threaded sleeve did not come out of the bell but, I was able to pull it out over a 1/4 inch. So I’ve adjusted the nuts and have about a 1/4 inch now. However after adjusting I’m still unable to get the car in gear when running. When stopped no issue, I can select all gears. I’m thinking clutch replacement, unless there are other things to check. Since I’ve never replaced a Caterham clutch, what’s the difficulty scale, and any special tools needed? thanks, Joe
  25. Thanks for the feedback, I’ll check the adjustment as a first step. Prior to this occurrence it shifted fine. When I looked at the linkage it seemed a bit loose, but I didn’t have any specs to work with. More to come. looking at this, the the jamb nut was in fact loose, so I’ll adjust there to start. In the picture below you can see there are quite a few threads showing on the barrel. Since I’m starting from scratch any recommended order to set the linkage?
