  1. I bought the car from Tom. He is incredibly helpful, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He would sort it out remotely if I could get the software to record data to send him. The car connects with the laptop and starts showing real time data, but I can’t get it to log anything. I must have tried 5 times now and can’t get it to record anything. I consider myself fairly computer savvy and can’t figure it out. It’s infuriating.
  2. I'm running this 400S ECU https://www.scs-delta.co.uk/current-delta-ecu-range Which is programable with this software https://www.scs-delta.co.uk/software Is that something you can work with?
  3. I don't know the driver behind the ECU choice. I'm the second owner. It bored and stroked to 2.5L and has a hot cam, so maybe that? I will for sure reach out to @1turbofocus. I'm in NJ and the car is quite driveable (it's running rich, not lean). Thanks for your input @Vovchandr Edit: I read the location wrong. I thought he was in NY and you were in NC ;-)
  4. I am struggling to find a tuner on the East Coast that wants anything to do with my Birkins ECU. It's a Delta 400 (https://www.scs-delta.co.uk/current-delta-ecu-range) on a Ford Duratech engine. Any help GREATLY appreciated.
  5. I have the kit car package and I've started compiling all the information into one well organized file. Need some paperwork from Tom to complete the package. I'll take a swing at NJ DMV and see how I get on. I totally believe you about it depending on the inspector. NJ DMV are consistently inconsistent!
  6. I'll have the Bill of Sale, the MSO from Birkin, receipts from the motor/transmission guy etc. I was just wondering if it might be simpler to throw money at a Montana LLC and register it that way.
  7. Sounds like a plan @slowdude! I work in Bridgewater, just down the road from you. Did you title your car yourself, or had it been titled previously? I'm a little nervous about the process in NJ. My interactions with the DMV here have nearly all been horrific ;-)
  8. New 7 Owner in New Jersey. Been hankering for a 420R for years, but when I went to pull the trigger the price hike and wait time was too much for me. Contacted Tom, the Birkin importer in CO and he was selling this beauty for a client who had specked out my dream car, but due to work commitments never had the car titled. Tom refreshed all the fluids etc. and now I'm the proud owner!! Should be here in 2 weeks. Then I have to figure out how to title it in NJ (any pointers gratefully accepted). I've driven my 570hp Camaro 1LE there before, but never anything with the power to weight of this beast. I see some short shifting in my future until I get acclimatized. I hope to meet everyone there!
