@EdWills I wasn’t referring to the hub, just the spindle which is Triumph. The Europa and Elan still used the 3&3/4 bolt pattern hub. Although, Elans were available with knock offs. Now that we have new tariffs the UK is probably a better source of parts for Canadians than the USA. I suppose you can get parts from the UK duty free?

Yes, I believe the Spitfire uprights are the same. So if you redo the trunnions go with Triumph parts. Also found a cheaper source for the 636 bushings. They are the same for the Europa and Seven S4. SJ enterprises. https://www.sjsportscars.com/parts-and-accessories/X036C6004Z.htm

Ouch! Here are some pictures from the Tony Weale book that you might find useful especially if you tackle the front suspension. The Y9 and Y16 bushings are MG parts and are readily available. If you decide to replace your engine mounts know that they are from a Jaguar E type and easily obtainable on this side of the pond.

@Carz01You are absolutely right! I just noticed it myself. I checked some other pictures and I think that the Lotus Holby on the GP,sevens site has different wheels. I found this to confirm the Brand Lotus wheels on a Lotus S3 twin cam from the Tony Weale book p. 223 and they are not triangular as well this advert from about 1970. And also this pic from of the Lotus Seven twin cam from the Earles Court motor show of 1969. Edit - at the bottom of this page Link explains the difference between Dunlop wheels and Brand Lotus. The original steel wheels came off the Ford Cortina which were 13x5.5 with ford pcd 4.25 or 108mm. Lotus had offered optional Lotus brand alloy wheels similar to the Dunlop D1 in 1970. They were also used on the S4. Specs on these were 13x5.5 4.25 pcd. These are very rare today, however, John Brown Wheels in the UK makes replicas of the D1 in the correct pcd and an offset of 16mm which are probably better quality than any 56 year old wheels you could find today. I found a set of original Lotus Brand alloys for my S4 on this site. They are still in the box and need to be refinished. If I find they aren’t true I would have been better off to go with the modern replicas. I got one of my Lotus brand wheels out this morning and got an offset of 15 which +/- 1mm close enough to 16mm. Tires 165 80 13 or 185 70 13. The only 165 80 13 tires that I am aware of is Pirelli and can be bought from Lucas tires. - Considering how light these cars are this would be my choice. https://lucasclassictires.com/tires/165vr13-pirelli-cinturato-cn36/ 185 70 13 is more common and less expensive. When I bought my Caterham Seven last November I found this thread to be very useful. Especially, the info concerning the brakes, coolant, and fluid systems. @NSXguy had a lot of good information on going through a new old car.

Congratulations! You got a bargain. Make sure you go through the carbs and replace the gaskets, especially the soft mounts. Don’t want to have a carb fire destroying your new ride. Definitely replace the wagon wheels and get a set of 13 or 14 inch Minilite or KN Minator wheels. Period correct and most importantly will reduce the unsprung weight which of course is all about adding lightness!

Looking for o rings for Weber DCOE 40s for my Crossflow. The o ring has an od of 52mm and a id of 45 mm. Tried WebCon and Pierce Manifolds but their Weber mounts have much larger O rings. Next stop McMaster Carr but I thought I would try you guys.
