  1. Just order a shirt. Thank you
  2. Here’s my spec: plus the cost of drivetrain. I think it was $27,395 i was quoted $4,500 for final assembly and sorting.
  3. Right now, my calculator has me at 114 and change They came up with the invoice from the engine. They were adding an additional $800 on for shipping. Do y’all think that the price of shipping for the engine and drivetrain is included in that price or is it normal that that’s extra?
  4. We just executed the agreement last week.
  5. I’m going to need to bring that up….
  6. I did message my dealer yesterday about opting for the lowered floor. I’m 5’7” so I do fall below the 5’9” mentioned above the S3 I rented was the standard floor. and I managed fine. you make the argument well that in my case, maybe it’s not necessary. If I were taller, for sure. the rental car, one of my distinct reflection included leg position. When in the hills and activity shifting. My left leg was kinked. My foot on the clutch ready to shift. - when on the motorway, I’d kick the clutch pedal up and slip my foot under it. That provided room to outstretch my left leg. Then when preparing for the exit. I’d pull it back out, kick the pedal down and continue on. I never really noticed my right leg - too busy doing stuff i with it I suppose. In your experience does the lowered floor create additional space to maneuver the left leg / find comfort when static? or is it completely about the head room / slight lines?
  7. I think I was just convinced to add teh lowered floor. I suppose its better have the extra depth then not too.
  8. Fit in the car. It's a very small car. Happily I rented an S3 with standard floor a few months ago and had a few days and ~ 500 miles in it. Its a tight fit for sure, but acceptable. I have considered the lowered floor option but did not select it when I submitted the order form. I’m told however I can still change this if I wanted as we wait for the seats to be prepared. I have been back and forth on this option a few times. I’m 5’7” and a bit portly in the mid-section. My legs managed well enough in the rental and as to shoulder room, I was in the S3 with a friend who weighs about the same, but is 6’1” and wasn’t terrible. Note: he was unsuccessful in fitting in the drives seat as he was unable to fit the steering wheel one seated. He’s have at least required the lowered floor, and more likely prefer the SV chassis.
  9. The effort to register in their jurisdiction. Thank you for bringing this up. I have reached out to NJ MVC and have received the appropriate packet to do this. 20 pages of directions and requirements..... This packet, plus knowing other recent example Caterham 's have been successful through this program gives me hope. At work, on occasion I need to deal with various state and local governments and its never goes as it is intended. And a process as described in the packet offer plenty of pit falls that will be left to a state employees’ discretion and/or interpretation.... NJ Reconstruct packet (R5-19) use this.pdf
  10. Your original post indicates that tariffs are included in the US pricing is this confirmed. I’m working with a dealer that said tariffs are not included and are owed when ready to ship? I was told I should look d expect $7,000 on top of the chassis and drivetrain thank you
  11. I did a lot of group rides, we only had one Exige in the group, and it always drew attention. I drove it a few times and drove better then my Elise. We both had the BWR super charger and power was the same. And yes the Exige roof came off, but never looks at clean with the air intake looking the way it did. Maybe its just reflecting on it.....
  12. I’ve been deliberating on my color choice for a few weeks now and still undecided, though I am leaning towards heritage sage. I still like that copper beige color I found online, but nobody can tell me the exact color of that car and somebody suggested it might be a Bentley rose gold, and I can’t be driving around in a pink car so my second choice was the heritage sage. ….. but I haven’t totally committed yet. i’m sitting here watching my boys play basketball at the park on this beautiful day browsing the forum and I thought I’d ask you guys what you wish you knew before ordering your car any surprises during the ordering process, Customs, registration anything about the options package drivability transmission, suspension anything following the delivery that you look back and said boy I wish I knew about this before ordering? when I ordered my Elise, I got a starlight black with the red interior and I got the touring package in hindsight I wish I would’ve gotten the Exige. While I did enjoy taking the roof off and that was the primary reason I got the Elise, looking back on it. I would’ve enjoyed an exile way more.
  13. Bill. Thank you. robert
  14. Any chance anybody has a connection with somebody that I can hire to manage my title and registration process?
  15. is the consort a different unit then the ford version? What year is your car? Any challenges with MVC?
  16. Thank you. Ill have to see about the 6 point, arm restraints and Hans. I didn’t see a 6 point option on the order form. I’ll ask greg about that this week.
  17. Not sure I’ll have my car by then but if I do, I’d want to run. how does the event work? Do I need to register? What are specific safety requirements? I’ve done a few HPDE events with the Elise group back in mid 2000s with Hunting Ridge. How would this compare? At those events, you could have a more experienced instructor come with you. Is that available here?
  18. Thank you that’s helpful. all the excitement ordering the car….. then static for 4-5 months I guess. at the factory, Trevor told me that it only takes about two weeks or so to assemble the car but ordering the leather components, takes at least an additional four weeks. I guess that everything that goes into prepping for shipping and customs really eat up a good deal of time.
  19. And I’m opting for the Moto-lita street if wheel. I went to Great lengths to get one of these fitted to my Stew Lotus Europa and it was like the crowning jewel of the car after a two year long restoration. I’m hoping to capture that same thing here
  20. Same with interior. I worried that the configurator doesn’t quite capture the colors, right I’m just hopeful that whatever ends up getting shipped is going to be fine which I’m sure it will note the leather wrapped – versus the carbon dash for the 620 S I really like the leather wrapped. I’ve never been a big fan of the carbon look. I am interested in how the SMITH gauges would look versus the standard gauges. Hopefully we can get that mocked tomorrow.
  21. Still working with greg and caterham folks to lock down color codes. the configuration tool is good, but has some limitations. For example the bourbon color online doesn’t give me confidence that what I want is what is represented see these two images. Ones copper-y and bright. The other is brown. I want the bright coppery one
  22. Greg at Time machines talked about it a few times. I figured I’d get the painted roll bar, but after thinking about it more, leather wrapped sounded great thank you for sharing your photo. Looks amazing.
  23. I walked the facility with Trevor, CFO. I wasn’t sure about taking pictures, but asked a lot of questions. I did take a pick of the leather options. looks like it’ll be a 620S with a leather package like the super seven 2000 & leather wrapped roll bars. 15” Orcus anthracite wheels. im undecided on paint. Heritage sage or bourbon. Leaning bourbon. Thought to tell if the bourbon is bright enough. Some images show it darker than I’d like.
  24. Had a great weekend in London. Wonderful tour of the assembly facility. Thank you all for the thoughts and advice. Next few months are gonna drag while I await the car.
