The program in which this appears has just aired this week , i will upload the whole loop the loop clip to youtube or similiar. Rich

I didnt know they existed till now, having looked at the prices they do seem a bit dearer than some other 7 sites - having said that they do parts that the others dont. Also agree that it would be cheaper to make your own diffuser. Rich

Also found another justin link http://www.justin.tv/corvettemotorsport

Wonder if it was this flight? http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/4287/shut.jpg No it wasnt, just seen the name on the craft, oh well gives a good indication as to the struggle to leave the ground anyhow. Great story. Rich

I found when I was searching for `7`forums that for some reason everytime I logged onto here (before I was a member) it would automatically go to this page, even some pages I saved in my favourites (from the video section) would take me back to this page. Not sure why this happens, maybe was just the snap-shot that google took at the time, and logged this url instead of the main index page. Rich

well spotted, will give it a go. I know eurosport are airing it here but I cant get that Rich

Found a few pics of 7`s on the course , this is the Manx Classic.Year unknown http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/7797/mc1h.jpg http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/4269/mc3.jpg http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/2755/mc4.jpg

What would be good would be to take the 7`s out on mad sunday, that way the roads will be closed, though getting overtaken at silly speeds by the bikes could be dodgy. Although the roads are closed on the sunday, all persons on the track should keep to the speed limit - not many do however as the footage of this years showed, lol. I am not a member of the 7 club, so I cant post on that board, but I will have a search about the forum anyway.

Trying to find a streamed TV source for this weekend, but failing that live commentry will be broadcast here, they are currently doing the practices now. http://www.radiolemans.com/ Rich

I can if you want it, watched it the other night all 4 hours of it......, wasn`t that much on the 7, maybe about a total of 10 mins in the whole 4 hours . It will be by the same method of downloading as the Mark Evans one. Just found some info on it for you. " The Lotus Story Vol. 1 features the extraordinary story of Lotus began in 1948 and founder Colin Chapman and his cars became synonymous with GP racing. This comprehensive four hour DVD features interviews, archive action footage, racing greats and is a superlative record of Lotus' GP history. The Lotus Story Vol. 2 explores all the major races and personalities of the era are featured, including Moss and Surtees at the 1960 GP de Monaco, the 1960 Le Mans 24hr race and the 1962 Goodwood Easter meeting. Throughout the programme you can also hear from major players of the era. In the Lotus Story Vol. 3 we continue the full and fascinating story of one of Britain’s best-loved motor racing teams. We feature Clark’s battle against the surprising Brabham resurgence and the strengthening of the link between Lotus and Ford with the Mark 1 Lotus Cortina. The Lotus Story Vol. 4 details the development of the Type 72 - the most successful GP car of all time until 1986, the Lotus 78, which showed the way ahead in producing a true ‘grounds-effect’ car and the ‘Black Beauty’ Lotus 79."

What timing, just watching the TT at the moment on TV. I will look into this for you, not heard of any 7`s going around the Island, is this on closed roads or just normal non- competitive driving?. Would be very interested in going myself, as an ex-biker I always promised myself a trip over but never got the time. The boat leaves only a few miles up the road from me as well........ will let you know if I find any info out. Rich

I had the misfortune of having a plug go down today, never had one fail in all the 25 years of driving. Anyway due to lack of funds I pinched the plugs from my `off the road`Volvo. I wanted to see if the plugs would be suitable for the xflow and found this site. http://www.angelfire.com/extreme4/skidoolympique/SPARK_PLUG_CROSS_REFERENCE.htm Turns out that the Volvo ones are exactly the same thread, reach and heat range, a few quid saved there for now. Just have done, you should have it by now.

Glad you liked all folks, yes sorry but the host server can be a pain if you dont have an account I must admit. I spent 3 years on that server before I `paid`for an account..... I also didnt like the way the build went , as in they did not show the fiddlely bits - though would that have made good TV for the non 7 fan??, also the SVA test as it was known as then ( now IVA) i also thought it was a bit stupid to make the builder do all the work , then have to re-do it by changing the lights and things. I have just watched `The lotus story`which was a good view if you ever get the chance to see it. Rich

Over here using a brake light as a daytime running light is not allowed, I know it may be different in other countries however. Also agree with using a mech switch from the brake pedal, though is it not as easy just to tap off one of the rear brake cicuits at the tail of the car?
-
Although I have one, i think the main reason for most NOT having them is due to the cars very low centre of gravity, which in turn creates less roll generally. Also most of our cars do have fairly stiff springing which counteracts any roll. They are mostly only used on circuit based cars where the use of slick or sticky tyres would create more grip and cause body roll, and prevent the camber change associated with roll, also they are used for fine tuning the geo setup. Thats how I see it anyway.

No idea why it has 4 wires, unless it has 2 separate circuits. As mentioned above, you will need to identify the `ground` wires and the `live`wires on your unit. Obviously the ground goes to the nearest chassis or ground connection then the live cables connect to the live supply from one of your brake circuits. I have just fitted one myself, though I dont like seeing cables on view if mounting on the roll over bar ( and I dont want to drill holes in it to hide them either) I fitted it on the rear deck. "]http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/4682/pic0008m.jpg just read your latest post, yes it does make sence that it has indicators on it as well that would explain the 4 wires 1 - ground 2- brake 3- left ind 4- right ind

I am not normally into `games` at all on the computer as I do find they are a waste of time generally, however a friend lent me his copy of a racing game. I said `thanks but no thanks, not my scene`, then he said I might be interested in this one. I thought well ok, i will give it a go (just to keep him happy...) THEN I found out what cars they were, Caterhams...... My mate might have now lost his game to me, its great and very in-depth as to the settings for setup etc. This particular one (as I have now found out there are about 3 for the seven) is written by Simbin and is frighteningly realistic. Anyone else tried these simulators? pic below of the game http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/47/caterham4thmb.jpg Link to game http://www.simbin.se/games/race_caterham.htm Rich

Not sure if any of you are interested or not, but the latest shuttle mission lands today at 11:39 a.m. EDT. I am a huge fan of the space program and watch all the launches and eva`s. Can be seen live at their site. http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html Java needs to be enabled to see this. Rich EDIT - Typical, as soon as I posted this NASA report that the weather is too bad at all the landing sites - looks like its tomorrow now .

Trying to find some pics for you, all I can find at the moment is this link, which shows bits of the front susp, not sure if you can work out whats what with those pics. http://www.texasmotorworks7.com/WebTemplate.aspx?iid=420179 Will keep looking. Rich Edit, another site, click the pdf link at the top of this, it shows the wing with a bracket on it, looks like only half of it is fitted here to me. http://209.85.229.132/search?q=cache:xxb5xaHB_LwJ:www.birkin.se/files/Group_1_Arbetsmanual_del_1_-_VNSTERSTYRD.pdf+%22birkin+mudguards%22&cd=7&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk EDIT2 [/url] http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/6915/1103134lo.jpg http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/438/birkin.png
