  2. I have a 1.9cvh, running on a megajolt. Idle approx 850-900, reading of 5.5 -6.0. And yes.....the noise is luverly!
  3. I use the samecarb balancer, worth its weight in gold. Misabs are the spacers of choice, trick is to not tighten them to much...my webers sound glorious!!!!!
  4. Looks like you guys had a great time, I look forward to the Grizzly bar blat next year. I promise I wont build another engine in the meantime!!!! Thanks for the pics and vids so far, more are always welcome! Just sayin...

  9. After waaaaaay to long, I am officially back on the road, let the blatting begin!!! Feels so good to be back in the cockpit of Her Madge. And yes... the 1.9 is so much better than the 1.6.

  13. We are up and running, did my first 100 mile shake down, no nasty suprises, will need to adjust the timing a wee bit, sooooooooo good to be back in the saddle.
  14. Have a blast you guys.. Got my car running today, reset the timing and sorted the carbs out, the 1.9 is a big difference from the 1.6. will be doing some driving tomorrow, wish it was with you guys. Oh well, next year. Take care people. Steve
  15. Oh the joy,, fired her up yesterday, and took her out for a short cautious run up h,way 533. Damn that felt good, even tho the carbs need a touch of fettling and a timing adjustment, the difference from the old 1.6 to this 1.9 is obvious. Cant wait to get the first full blat under her belt...
  16. LOL. Cheers Bob
  17. Have a great trip. Take lots of pics. ENJOY....................
  18. GOT the new motor in, everything wired up, fluids all done, fied her up and, yes!! She lives..oops no she doesnt, gas pouring out of one of the webers..aargh! Decided to double check the float level. One of the support arms that hold the float had broken off. Did a quick repair job last night, midnight I might add... Drill thru the offending broken bit and the post, scavenged a number 2 nut and bolt from an old pair off specs and repair done. Fingers crossed....will reasemble carb again today and hopefully be up and running by noon. :willy_nilly:
