Ram Mount, a handy device for mounting mirrors and other things
timax replied to scannon's topic in General Tech
You should check out their cup holders! -
14's on mine also. For the road I run 185/60/14 DUNLOP DIREZZA star spec 2's.......LOVE them. Nicer on "road" than the AO48's i had on before. Softer side walls allow the tire to work on rougher surfaces and the car dosnt skip around as much. Ultimate grip may be lower but i prefer them.

Thanks john , i didnt know that. You can however get them mail order from Demon Tweeks.

Kumho V70A 175 front -215 rear on those rims. Toyo 888s are available in 185 for the front and 205 or 225 for the rear. Aspect ratios are between 60 for the fronts and 45 for the rears. . Tim

I run 200 in the Direzza Star Spec 2 in a skinny 185 size. Car weighs just over 600kg with me in it and only has about 160hp. I love it. Great tyres for the road. I can feel the car move around on them and they are very predictable. Prefer them to the Yoko AO48s i had. On track unless its very wet , forget it. I use Avon ACB10's for that. Sometimes more grip is not as much fun.

Bummer! Im sure all z4's are perfect. I hope when its all fixed that it all comes together for you and you can experience what the car has to offer. -
From a safety point of view ........how do you get out of a gullwing style hardtop in a roll over?
-
I find the putty or roll up foam ones always come loose and so use one of these, It goes around the back of your head , not over top. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f108/timphoto83ec/ScreenShot2014-03-22at90544am_zps87844a46.png Cheap and i leave it hung over the gear lever. Easy to put on one handed when turning onto a freeway etc. Low speed i dont use it at all. I also find its the wind that is the problem more than the exhaust. There is also the Peltor ear muffs that are worth looking at. If i was doing a big trip thats what i would buy. Not into helmets on the road.

I agree Dave. Cant understand how some can justify a blatant copyright infringement. Guys (who think its fine to put the LOTUS brand name on something they built themselves ) Please look at it from the other side for a second. You produce a product that is highly regarded and comes at a premium price. Some guy down the road makes a copy , better or worse dosnt matter , and puts your brand logo on it. NO question you are going to be PISSED! Also from another point if you make a clubman style car or "7" as you guys call them and someone replace your logo with another , again you are going to be PISSED! Its wrong. If you want a Lotus 7 then buy a Lotus 7. No way would i disrespect the maker of my car by trying to pass it off as a Lotus. ps love that rant icon ...very cool

Its from PRB . A place that prints name badges or door badges could do it. Like these guys... http://www.imprintplastic.com.au/

Very Nice! Any more pics?

Wrong side I know. My left hand covers the Oil Presure but i do have a warning light. Right hand covers the Fuel. I think the SPA duel gauges would be handy for us with limited room. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f108/timphoto83ec/DASH_zps66e8e592.jpg

Id let the car do the talking. Have a Brunton Super Stalker badge or a stylized "Super Stalker" badge on the rear. All the specs are too production car. Otherwise where do you stop. " 6 speed , LSD , SS, Sport, 24V,NOS etc etc. Who cares. Leave that to the BMW x5 Msport 50D ,Evo VIII MR FQ-400, Impreza STI RA Spec-C type drivers

Totally agree. A lotus 7 is a Lotus 7 but a Birkin is not. When people ask me what my car is i just say "FAST" When pressed though its "based on a 1960's lotus 7 but built here in Aus" No way i could call it a Lotus. Here is Australia these kind of cars are collectively known as "Clubmans" after the race category they were built for. Lotus is just one of many makers but the first.

Worlds fastest what? Production car? When you need to use a NASA runway to test the speed then who cares? Most of the rest of the world would be more interested to see how quick it is around the Nurburgring. Might have to google that one to see if they have taken one there. Looks great though.
