  1. Recently replaced green fiber glass fenders and nose cone with carbon fiber. Rear fenders have holes drilled for fender guards. Have installed fender guards on the carbon fiber. which I am using....will sell as a set or just the rear fenders. Bob Virginia Beach 757 463-4904

  3. A new Birkin with annular clutch slave should/will have equal performance as compared to the external slave cylinder. The problem may be in the selection of clutch assembly or type of disc. In the past few years I have successfully installed annular cluch assemblies in a Lotus 7 and a TVR. Once properly installed, no problem. Bob 05 Caterham 69 TVR
  4. good news. Can you wrap it up so no damage to frame and glass occurrs? I do have a paypal account. what is your preference for payment? please respond to

  7. Thanks for the comments...did more testing (driving)....is slipping when aggressive throttle applied in lower gears...will pull the trans & engine as a unit since I' d like to replace clutch cable with hydraulics. Bob
  8. Clutch slips in 5th gear at 4k to 5k RPM.....have no slippage in lower gears. To repair is it necessary to pull engine and transmission as a unit or can you disconnect and drop transmission from bottom (05 Caterham Dedion classic)? Bob
  9. Due to inability to set this tach I bought a new one....oops. After providing a ground to the tach the new one works....am selling original (programable) Caterham tach. $50. Bob
  10. Received new tach, same PN from Caterham....when installed it ran up past 8,000 RPM and pegged. After laboriously checking all connections & wires, ignition and coil out put found nothing wrong.....further looking at back of the original tach that came with the car, I noticed at the switching settings a "very small" hole with an indented arrow...made an adjustment and read correctly, problem solved. Previous owner must have used it this way for years. BTW a new repacement tach (Caterham) has no adjustments on the back other than replacing a lite bulb. Bob
  11. Thanks for your comments....as pulse is coming out from coil, a bench tach registers correct engine RPM, then must be a problem with the tach. Have ordered a replacement tach,# 71261. Anxious to see if that will solve the problem. Bob Caterham S3 +8 Morgan TVR Vixen
  12. Recently accquired Caterham 05, Tach registers double the actual value...Tach experts (Noisonger) advised, if working, may be ok, check installation. Unit (electronic ignition)appears only inside distributor, no points, just a small black box sitting where the points used to be.....which manufacture or type is the best for this set up? There are no external electrical units installed with this ignition. I have checked rear of tach and ran thru all the available setting options, no difference. The manufacturer identification is not readily apparent....an option would be to replace it with a new and improved electronic ignition, any suggestions? Bob
  13. Recently acquired an 05 Caterham S3....it came with a new uninstalled tonneau which measures 68" width x 43" length....have ordered the correct one for the Seven. $200 or best offer...... Bob © 757 619-9393
  14. The 05 Caterham that I bought came with a tonneau and boot cover. the boot fits perfectly...tonneau is too wide and too long, would need drastic cutting to make it work. Any one have an S3 tonneau that needs a new home? also don't need the one I have..
  15. What is the acceptable oil pressure at idle? Under acceleration pressure will go up to 40 lbs. Will idle down to 20 lbs and/or 15lbs. Have installed a safety cut off switch on the oil pressure line......at a longer than usually idling situation it will occassionally cut off the electric fuel pump. Recall questioning engine builder, Abacus Racing, they didn't seem too concerned. Any opinions/suggestions? Bob
