Sorry Mazda, delete the other two. I hit the forward and back and it posted 3 times.

I have an instrument cluster like that in my 7. I think the KGB or the Mafia are after him, that would be the only reasonable explanation. http://stories-etc.net/moscow-commute.htm?sms_ss=email&at_xt=4d21174d319d http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XihQeZpwqpE

My car for the first few years averaged 1000 miles a year, generally rides out through the country from 30 to 150 miles. My car is not city or highway friendly because of the motorcycle engine. Last year I moved, between working on the house then a blown appendicitis put me out for most of this summer. I recently got the car inspected and in 15 months did 280 miles. I'm cautious of where I would go in my seven, if people are flatbedding Escalades with the alarms going off then four big guys could put mine in the back of a pickup. Its harder for them if I'm driving it.

Bob PM sent Thanks Mazda, potholes in the Caddy hurt.

Hi Bob, I'm 70-80 miles from Akron. I have two different types of Locost and your welcome to come check out the build pictures and cars. I'm recovering from a blown Appendices and not cleared to drive. Depending how big you are you might not fit in dads car, its a standard width Locost. I can PM you details if your interested.

Those guys are not ricers. THESE guys are RICERS!!! here is 15 min of silliness from J. A. PAN. YouTube - Extreme Rides - Only In Japan!ã€HQ】 They watch way too much of their own cartoons, but their cars are clean.

I use Rolite once a year then for spots during the season, I got mine here. Also rubbing compound is a little rougher compared to polishing compound. Scotch-brite with kerosene for lubricant for a dull matte finish, nicks and imperfections can be hidden with a swirl pattern. Just keep repeating to yourself, "wax on wax off". http://www.topoftheline.com/alexpol.html

Nitelight, I'm happy to hear of another BEC. The tranny is the weak point of our cars and I recommend shifting like a standard car. I agree with the guys here about motorcycle shifting, I started at 7yrs old. I shift up and sometimes down clutchless. When I tried shifting the 7 like a bike only a few shifts where smooth the rest happened with a traumatic bang and the car lurching back and forth. Many times I thought I lost my tranny. Now when I shift, I preload the shifter, ease up on the throttle, (drop the rpms from 14000 to 13000) and put foot pressure on the clutch pedal and its enough for the clutches to slip and engage the next gear seamlessly. I have three reasons why I think clutchless shifting does not work well in cars. One is weight, if a bike is 400# and now its moving 1200# this adds more strain to our trannies. Second is control, I can control my hand movement on a bar throttle far more precisely than my foot, but I don't race and my last name is not Schumacher so it could be debatable. Third is drive line slack and cushion. Our cars are locked from the engines to the tires while a motorcycle normally has some chain slack and a rubber crush drive in the rear hub to take up shock load during an imprecise shift. I believe all these factors contribute to more stress and less enduring engines. If you have sponsors and a pit crew bang away, but if you don't and you blow a dog or fork you'll have to do this picture. Happy BECing.

My buddy sent me this. It makes you wonder how they graduated from college. These are from a book called 'Disorder in the American Courts' and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place. _____________________________________ ATTORNEY: This myasthenia gravis, does it affect your memory at all? I am surprised nobody thought of the pedal/software problem. No computer has ever had a glitch, glad Toyota isn't running Windows OBD 2.37 beta. I found this yesterday. http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/expert-electronic-design-flaw-linked-runaway-toyotas/story?id=9909319 I might buy a Toy then pull the servo off and put a cable on.

I wasn't far off, 10 gallons less gas would be about 1125#. Kodiak Racing wheels will make an aluminum forge wheel in 13",any bolt pattern/offset its around 7-8# but their not very pretty. Avon ACB10 tires are around 10# in 13". I haven't cycled the starter longer than a second, I'm going to replace my battery later with a small 4 or 5amp/hr one. They only weight a few pounds. Think 100cc minibike. I have to check and see if a RC high drain 12v custom pack will work, they weigh grams. Those are my early morning suggestions. The Hayabusa is about 50# heavier than an R1 engine, I think you could rip it down to a race weight of sub 1000# but I don't think it will be street worthy. Its a cool ride don't sweat the numbers.

So Hank......... your setting up the car to turn only left.

I started out 7 yrs old on a 50 cc Benelli. I was on dirt bikes all through high school. I later tried a 6x6 and a quad but came back to bikes. My 35th birthday I bought a 426 and last spring sold my rm250 pinger. As Russ said and Mazda found out in his Yukon their are a lot of stupid people out there. An oak doesn't jump out in front of you while on the phone. The new bikes are faster than people realize, 50hp in 250#, grab a hand full of throttle and you'll be on your back if your not careful. Play safe. Arya if your out west again try Cave Creek Arizona, Extreme Arizona does many different rides.

I like Mustangs and its nice to see they tune the suspension from Griggs before they added the power. This might convince Mazda to sell his vette. It get good about 4 minutes on. YouTube - UBB Mustang feature on Fifth Gear

I know our Sevens are quick, but sometimes I need a reference. Here is a 1600cc Focus engine in a 1100# car and its able to keep up with a 550 hp GT. The little Ford has 400 less HP, with no front or rear wings and it still beats it on the track.

First check if your state requires it. Pa. requires "powered reverse" for inspections although mine has never been checked. 3 bolts could completely remove it from the car which is about 15#'s. I think my electric reverse might be a little heavier than a Quaife box, but a few days before the 50th anniversary rally my reverse went out. I still drove 325 miles those two days, a box would have side lined me. It might be possible to take a light manual and just run fifth and reverse gears and remove the rest of the gears. I heard a T5 is around 70# plus you have hp losses from 2 transmissions. A BEC is not much of a tourer and like others here parking is planned, usually away from other vehicles. A bike engine will work the best when a cars weight is kept low.

Tom, we have to wait for Feb 2 for Alabama Al to come out and not see his shadow. He'll predict an early spring from CO. Punxsutawney Phil will prove him wrong.(Google or Wiki him)

Good news guys, you won't have to worry about roasting feet anymore. Although I have to add a heater and full top. http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/01/11/ipcc-scientist-global-cooling-headed-our-way-for-the-next-30-years/ I'm confused do I sell my Seven and buy a boat or a Sno-cat. Maybe an Icebreaker and I got it both covered.

For those of you with a TomTom. Here is how to get a 7 on your gps. The picture was a Birkin from Dick in Texas that he has/had. http://www.gps-data-team.com/pda-gps-navigation/topic/1418.html

In ancient Greece it was 28 years before said nap now its 66.58 years. Drive your electric, I'll use your share. I cook with gas.

I have one. I call it DumDum. I turned it into a cheap 8 gig Ipod touch; mp3,pictures,video and movies. I made a 7 icon for it(the red background turns translucent). I don't trust them and usually pick my own routes. They are nice for addresses and street names, some places have neither. http://www.townsandtrails.com/gps-strands-two-oregon-families/ L7.BMP
