  18. Hi Terry, the boss and myself are interested in joining the blat, but it all depends on my schedule, which at the moment is up in the air. We know each other from the CSCC Auto X, I raced a Merkur XR4Ti. cheers, Bill.
  19. Hi Ian, sorry for the late reply regarding the doors. Ive had some issues with the Net etc. I tried the Birken doors and they will not fit. Thanks for the info and good luck with the sale. cheers, Bill.

  21. Hi guys, name is Bill and I figure its time to introduce myself in the Canadian Se7en roll call. I had started to collect parts/materials to build a lo-cost based on the XR4Ti, as I have lots of spare parts etc. A friend of mine who built this car is leaving the country and offered it to me. Sooooo, I picked up the 7 this March and I am really enjoying it. I still intend to build a car though, hopefully starting this winter. Also met up with Stewart and Steve and our other halfs and went for a blat to Kananaskis in Alberta. Had a great time (hope to have more blats in the future) Its got a V8, 302 small block Ford engine with alloy heads, roller cam, T5 gearbox and its really a blast and a handful to drive. It has a Holley carb and future plans are to go with port injection and probably Megasquirt. I auto X the car and during these events Ive met other potential/pending 7 owners, here in Calgary. Here is a pic of the day I brought her home. (not exactly 7 weather) http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj140/XR4BILL/Bills%20Lotus%207/IMG_0715.jpg cheers, Bill
  22. Hi Ian, a friend of mine has just purchased a Birken and he picks it up hopefully this weekend. He was told that the doors that are with the package are the same as the Caterham. He said that I could try the doors on my car to see how they fit. This would probably be the best way to go for me at the moment. I will try these out first to see how and if they fit my car. If in the meantime, you manage to sell them, no problem. cheers, Bill.
  23. Thanks for the pic. Im auto Xing on Sat/Sun, will get back to you on Monday. cheers, Bill.
  24. I have a u-built and the owner mentioned it was slightly different in various places. Just trying to be sure of what my options are. Just wondering about the following, (if its possible) The length along the bottom of the door? The length along the top of the door? (along the bottom of the window.) The angle at the leading edge of the door? The angle at the trailing edge of the door? The height of the bottom part of the door? (from the bottom of the door to the bottom of the window) Bill.
  25. Any chance of a few measurements regarding the doors? Bill.
