Potential Sale - SV Full Hood, SV Rollbag and Petty Strut for SV

Next week my worldly possessions are being collected and loaded up onto a container bound for Boston, MA. I have a few Caterham bits left over from my garage clearout (see list in thread title) and I was wondering whether it would be worth transporting the remaining content across the pond to sell there?

The hood and the rollbag should be universal fit - but I've no idea whether the Petty Strut is usable on left hookers (will try to find out).

Please shout up before 15 Oct if there is any interest in these items.

Steve,

I'd be interested in the Petty strut since my Superlight R came with the FIA bar but not the strut. Bosses are installed. Would be good to install for track days.

Let me know.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - trying to finish off my work projects and get our household possessions in a state where they can be collected by the shippers has been quite a time consuming task (it is amazing how much "stuff" you can accumulate over 13 years of living in the same house).

Anyhow, I have no idea what the US market is like on part prices, so I've gone with the figures converted from the prices I was asking in the UK to USD's.

SV Full Hood = £80 = $130

SV Rollbag = £40 = $65

Petty Strut = £25 = $40

All of the above exclude shipping from Boston. My guess is that I will have access to the goods in early December - hoping this isn't an issue as I'm presuming that the sevening season will be over for most by now :-)

Would like the Petty strut. Hoping not too much to ship from Boston to Baltimore. Do you happen to have the hardware for installation?

December/January is not a problem.

Were you able to confirm this will fit with left hand drive?? I could see how it could be totally reversed and not fit at all:ack:

Jim - looking on caterhamparts website it appears that roolbars and petty struts are different for lhd and rhd. With this in mind I think that it's best that we do not proceed....

Steve,

Went on Caterham parts and its not very clear to me what goes with what.

Thats a pretty unorganized website!

If you have the time and its not packed away, maybe you could post a pic of it and someone here with the same roll bar could let us know if it will work. Would appreciate it if possible. If not, no problems.. Sounds like you're busy packing.

Thanks,

Hi again Jim

I'm now in the US, working out of NYC this week. I can get the Petty Strut put on the boat when the removal guys show up on Wednesday, but I have no way of getting it unpacked / photographed unfortunately.

Steve,

No problem. If/when it gets here and you get a chance-post a pic so we can look at it and see if it will work.

Holy thread resurrection, BatMan :o

With the upheaval of the move to the US and a pretty hectic first few months once I got over here, I totally forgot about this thread.

I'm just in the process of moving to another property in Boston and I came across the hood bag and hood. Unfortunately the Petty Strut didn't make it onto the boat for some reason (my brother in law has confirmed that the strut is still in my garage back in the UK).

So, the SV hood bag and SV full hood are still available. I will PM the people who originally expressed an interest to give them first dibs.

Yellowss7 will be in London with lots of bags around the 23-25 August. I know he has room for a petty strut in amongst all the shoes, cocktail gowns, handbags....that Kathy has packed :p

Steve,

Thanks for the uhh..........timely update:) Found a Petty strut a while ago and have been using it when the car is tracked. Hopefully someone else can get some use of yours. Nice thing to have to maybe stiffen up the car a bit.
