yellowss7
BEAUTIFUL Fall day here in Philly. 70 degrees, trees are just starting to turn and with just a slight breeze to knock a few leaves on to the road for that sense of speed shot you see on commercials. I haven't had Yellow out since I bought Blubarsax's orange beast back in July, and since it was time for the annual Pa. state inspection, I took the slicks off, took the Brooklands off and put the Street R888's on and the full windscreen on to make it street legal again. I climbed in and forgot how it fits like a glove, the S3 is definitely different than the SV. Much snugger and cozier. Also my cage is a couple inches shorter than the jungle gym that Karl needed at 6'8". No need to drop down into the seat. Cranked the key and let the fuel pump prime and it cranked and cranked and cranked then, VROOM!!!!:hurray::hurray: it fired right up and all is right with the world. Love the sound of the Kseries with the exhaust right off my left ear. Took the car out for a nice ride over to the mechanics shop and got at least 10 thumbs up or waves and a couple of honks. God I love the little car. The difference driving this one versus the Orange SV is huge. The SV seems big, softer, and more car like. The yellow S3 is tighter, harder riding and sooo much easier to drive. The clutch is very progressive, the throttle lite and full of feed back. I can't imagine the SV on the street. It's a track monster. Can't say the wind was in my hair, but it was in my mustache. :jester: Felt great to have the Caterham back out on the road. I've been tracking so much that I didn't bother to change over to street trim much. After that nice Blat I may just decide to keep both, assuming I can convince the wife. :willy_nilly: Just thought I'd share. I hope everyone can get some nice Blatting in before winter sets in. MichaelD
I agree. You can even rent Big Ornge by the lap while you drive Yellow. Yes it was perfect day for a ride in my Seven in DC as well. Had to take the afternoon off to change the oil then go for a ride in the country. Cars and Coffee in Great Falls, VAat 7AM tomorrow.
The Stig
Definitely out this weekend. Weather looks great and NJ Cars and Coffee at Millstone on Sunday. Great event for anyone in close proximity of J8 on Turnpike. Some great cars - usually 100 plus! http://www.carsandcoffeenj.com.
jlumba81
Switched to my 7 during lunchtime. Nice sunny day in the high 40s-mid 50s. Heated jacket kept me nice and toasty.
