solder_guy
So how complete was your car when you acquired it? Was it ready to roll? Or was it a project that took over the garage and your life for years? Here's another fun poll to show how diverse our club is. scannon
I have to qualify my vote for "Complete Kit without Drivetrain". It was actually an assembled rolling chassis without a drivetrain. The dealer had the car for 2 years and had assembled the chassis and was waiting for a customer to spec the drivetrain. I bought it without a motor and transmission. Athough I didn't have the fun of assembling the chassis, installing the Miata drivetrain did take over my life and garage for about 18 months.:yesnod:

stevet
My current seven was used and in v good shape, my first one was complete kit with drivetrain - but I can only vote once so have gone with the former (i.e. current car).
MHKflyer52
I built my car from scratch. Used the book as a guide but also took dimensions from a real seven and drew everything into AutoCAD. My build took approx 89 days over a years time frame as I did not work on it everyday but did mark a calendar everyday that I did work on the car even if it was just for and hour. I guess I would have to say it is a LOCOST BOOK BUILD but not so low-cost as the book due to the mods that I have incorporated into the car. Keith
Started with a premade frame, but it needed light-to-medium modification. The welder was not optional.

locost7018
It was a complete car but if you put the old next to the new you would swear they were different cars. Russ
