rikker
I need to move a car this week from Vegas to Portland. love to find a private op that moves no more than 1 to 3 cars on a one level enclosed trailer? Failing that any regular hauler that anyone has used SW to PNW. Thanks for the help. Edited December 14, 2015 by rikker
centerfireman
I have been very happy with Intercity transport. I have used them twice, a Caterham from PA to CA and Ferrari from IL to CA. Highly recommended.
mrmustang
I think the problem you are going to have is that none of the larger companies go to Portland on a regular basis. At least when I was getting a car out of Washington state that is what I was told.

centerfireman
Intercity Lines, Inc. 800-221-3936. You will probably speak to Sharon Snedeker, who coordinates the transportation and is a pleasure to work with.
ultraslow
I bought my '85S3 from a museum/manager in Seattle and used their reccomanded shipper. http://www.passporttransport.com/ Good experience.
jimrankin
Don't even think about open, won't take a 7 in most cases because of the min. 5" ground clearance required. Broker will take you on and then the pick up will be delayed till they find someone cheap. Go with one of the closed carriers noted above but you time frame may already be way too late. rikker
No it was not one of the recommended haulers , nobody wanted to move the car with my dates , the only reason I was in this situation was due to the seller changing times and the original hauler passing. I ended up with a guy off CL,telling me what I wanted to hear, never again.

bigdog
I once hired a gal to drive my 18 wheeler. It was my first two week holiday in many years. While on holiday I was calling nearly every night and asking "is every thing going OK?" She finally said STOP CALLING! If something goes wrong I'll call you. Now go enjoy your time off. I never gave it a thought that by calling her constantly that I was saying in effect that I didn't trust her to do the job that I hired her to do. I didn't call again and every thing went fine. For her it was like traveling with kids. Are we there yet? Are we there yet? A hundred times a mile.
