7 car cover

Recommended Posts

so, with info from MichaelD i got a car cover off ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Seven-57-72-Caterham-Fitted-Outdoor-Car-Cover-SALE-/200582992462?hash=item2eb3ad924e:m:mTTZO6L8fBKXFStxNg0STig&vxp=mtr

cover is VERY nice. it fits my ultralite VERY snug... i would have it be a inch bigger in length and a hair lower (i have 18" wheels) otherwise not change a thing.

pardon the mess in the shop, i had a shelf brake and everything is on the floor until i put my new on up.

pics of this cover on MichaelD's car can be found here http://www.usa7s.net/vb/showthread.php?10381-Seven-Car-Cover&highlight=car+cover

Mike,

This cover does as well. I have had two other covers in the past. Both were overly large and difficult to manage. This one is almost perfect even with the full cage. I would use the straps if I kept the car outside any length of time. Currently I only use it over night at the track.

Keep in mind that this cover is actually made for a Caterham Seven so it is form fit. Other Sevens may have a slightly different shape.

Ted,

I am in the midst pulling the motor and trans. Once I get them out I will put the nose and bonnet back on along with a few boards on the cage to make it a little taller and wider. Then I can see how much stretch is left. Even if it is on jack stands.

You are looking for +3.5" in width and 1" taller cage with +8" in length, Correct? Who cares about the sides as long as the rain can't get in the seating area :-)
