d15b7
hey guys - I have a road race Super Seven with xflow power that has been running warmer during summer races. the radiator in it is an aluminum racing one, which has been in it for over 20 years. all the fins are beat up and i've epoxied a few holes from flying debris in years past and I believe that it's efficiency has been reduced to the point where it just can't cool the car during long hot races, especially if i'm drafting the bigger cars on the straights. can anyone point me to a source for a new high performance racing radiator that will direct fit my Caterham? or maybe even a shop that can re-core my existing rad? thanks! Blokko
Can't help you in terms of US options, but as a last resort you might want to consider Radtec in the UK. I presume that they will have or can make what you need and will ship overseas, but it doesn't specifically state that on their website (http://www.radtec.co.uk/) Their place is about 5 miles from my place in the UK. I dealt with them direct and they seemed a good bunch of people (managed to get me a new rad for my SV just before I was off on a tour of France). I believe that there is (or at least was) a discount on offer for members of the Lotus 7 Club.
yellowss7
Todd, I used Radtec to replace my triple pass radiator in the Orange car last year. They do ship to the US. Tom Edited May 15, 2016 by yellowss7
scannon
My Caterham also has a Radtec aluminum radiator. They made it to my specs after two Caterham radiators failed. With the intercooler in front of the radiator it needs all the cooling capacity it can get and the Radtec provided that.
