LCC Rocket question

Recommended Posts

At first I though you wanted a rocket car - NASA, Space-X, Jet Propulsion Labs, etc. Given your automotive style I would expect nothing less! :D

However, you are looking for a Gordon Murray Light Car Company Rocket.

Duncan Hamilton has one for sale $120k area I believe

In 2014 one was sold out of FL on Hemmings (look for the Bringatrailer write up) asking $100k.

However, I guess you want to be cheap and want a replica so have a read of this post:

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1325047

or here

http://kitcarlist.com/exoskeleton-kits.html

THe closest clone will always be the Brooke R which had a duratec and side by side seating but the look was pure Rocket.

Thanks Croc.....

That's very helpful and informative.

I read the one in pistonhead but nothing come close and nothing come close either on the exoskeleton cars. I think the closest one was the brookecars you sent me.

Although I'm looking for a single seat and with a bike engine. The brookecars is an interesting design. My

only problem ....i am not interested in the car engine. I wonder if I can convert to bike engine. I sent a message to the company but

I never heard anything yet. I have 2014 Kawasaki zx-14r engine ready and Gordon Murray Light Car Company Rocket that i was eyeballing for sometimes now.

but thank you!

These are really cool cars. Have never seen one in person. Believe they're 2 seaters with seats behind each other. Given that they're designed by Gordon Murray- they should have some collectibility and probable appreciation in value. Not sure about street legality in the USA. Unless I'm mistaken- they haven't been produced in a number of years and were only built in limited numbers- not more than a couple hundred. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
