Some text from original eBay ad from Oct 2002:

"This car is NOT TITLED, and is NOT running and needs to be completed. Unique opportunity to own a Lotus Seven replica at an affordable price. The R.M. Classics Manufacturing Company was located in South Africa and was headed by Hans Wilms. The company went out of business in the 1990's and very few cars were imported to America. R.M. Classics produced two versions of their Seven Replica. One was dimensionally the same as the original Lotus Seven; the other was described as the long version. The long Seven is both wider and longer than the original. The extra space is noticeable once you sit in the car. It can easily accommodate a six foot plus driver. I am offering a long version R.M. Eight. The front suspension is complete with Merkur upright, rotors, and calipers. The independent rear suspension is also from a Merkur with professionally made custom uprights, Miata rear calipers and appropriate rotors. Custom made stainless steel fuel tank. Fuel and rake lines have been installed along with pedals. The car is fully carpeted and has a padded dash and interior panels. Leather steering wheel installed along with new column and steering rack. Seats, tonneau, purpose built radiator, fan, three point seat belts, headlights, turn signals, and brake lights have also been installed. The fiberglass body is in good shape but needs some work to be perfect. The bolt pattern for the wheels is 4 x 4.5."

oooh I can see it! There was a glitch when it first posted, I could not see anything as if it was an invalid post but it is fixed and I can read all the text and see the photos. And my question from my Sunday post on what type of kit this was - RM Eight - is now answered.

I'm not sure what happened. Your initial post was in moderation, which I approved, and why people could see a thread exists, but then for some reason it reverted back to moderation when you posted again and subsequently hid all your posts from view. Also odd -- although it has happened a couple of times recently -- your posts no longer showed up in my moderation view, so it wasn't clear there was a problem until I examined the thread after reading APinSoFl's post. Hopefully your sale goes more smoothly than your posting history here :)
