So I noticed that the nose cone on my car is a little loose, and upon further inspection, it is only held on the car with two twist lock fasteners at the top rear of nose cone ... The hood sits on top of it so it doesn't move alot during driving.

Is this normal? Should there be some fastener at the bottom/front of the nose cone? Anyone have detailed pictures of how there nose is fastened?

Mine has 2 screws on the bottom that hold it as well as two more bolts that are on flanges the hood covers. The two on the bottom come up from underneath the car and have rubber mounts to the frame. I can take photos tomorrow if that would help.

That would be a huge help ... Thank you ... Mine definitely does not have any bottom mounts ... Will want to add them

This is the nose cone of a Caterham SV. There is a lip at the bottom to hook over the frame. There are no bottom bolts.

That is how mine looks as well ... No bottom fasteners ... When you have yours mounted and fastened, does it have play in it? Does it wiggle around? Seems like this would cause wear and tear ... I'm going to look into a better way of securing it

There is no play on two of my three Caterham. I added zip tie to the bottom to the frame on my third Caterham

Has the zip tie solution worked ok? No damage caused by the zip ties?
