slngsht
A Busa motor is setting in my garage on the other side of the river from you. I'll have to come out and take a look at it. I'm hoping someone out there has a Solidworks model of it that they would share.
ottocycle
Bob, Are you selling the Busa motor or are you looking to put it in a car. I am looking for a motor kit if anybody knows of one. Gauges too. Thanks, Dermot.
BobDrye
Bob, Are you selling the Busa motor or are you looking to put it in a car. I am looking for a motor kit if anybody knows of one. Gauges too. Thanks, Dermot. I think that I have too much invested in it to sell. I still want to build one of these. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/269767102_rt_front.jpg

BobDrye
"I still want to build one of these." That's cool Bob, what is it? Thanks, Bruce It's called a Indycycle. Just type in that keyword in Google and you can go to the website. He does sell plans, but no kits. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1876880017_ground2.jpg
BusaLoco
If you are planning a busa build remember to get the loom and ecu included in your purchase of the engine. It is quite difficult to trace the busa engine year from the serial # on the engine and there are lots of differences in the ecus for the different years (and production regions). Mixing and matching doesn't work too well. Also don't count on receiving functioning Busa gauges from a smashed bike. ... The bike gauges are located on the front of the bike and usually in a crash ... well you can do the visualization.
WestTexasS2K
Try www.dpcars.net he uses solid works and I am sure he has the deminsions readily available. I have talked to him before he is really nice.

slngsht
In the links area is a download list, there is a 3d IGES model (also an R1 I think) T I downloaded the R1, the Busa and the Driver solidworks files. I'm using the Busa, but I'll have to do my own driver, as that one is not quite in the position I need it, and with my limited skills, seems hard to turn the legs for some reason. Also, I thought I read somewhere that the busa model is one with a dry sump. This link has my latest progress, as good or bad as it may be.
