rdymond
I am in the midst of acquiring my second super stalker. It is the original kit with the solid axle from the S10 rear end. Has anyone converted a Stalker to independent rear suspension? Some cursory research on the S10 forum indicates some have converted their S10 to a Corvette C4 rear. Any pioneers who have made this change? Thanks Robin.
S1Steve
That’s a question that would make me call the manufacturer down in Florida . I think they would give the best engineering advice. Good Luck
Croc
No one on this forum has done that conversion to my knowledge. Fortunately you are working from a kit so that is in your favor. I would be giving Stalker cars a call to ask them if it is possible. They would have the knowledge in this instance. My recollection of the Stalker IRS is that it is not based on the C4 Corvette but is a custom design.
MV8
Major work and not a bolt-in, with a lot to consider in the process unless you buy an irs frame and associated components. The axles will be custom; shorter than the oem irs donor. I have not converted a stalker. I'm in the process of converting a spitfire to the ford 8.8 irs. I don't see much value for the work involved.
