Smithengineered Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Where can I find some of the screw gaskets that go on the screws for the sender unit? I have the tank out and the screw gaskets are not in the best of shape. Thanks
11Budlite Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 I would think something like this might be worth a try: https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=3245
jbcollier Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 You can get fibre washers at most industrial/truck/automotive suppliers and many hardware stores. There are also several million listed on amazon.

fastg Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 McMaster-Carr have an entire section on sealing washers. https://www.mcmaster.com/standard-washers/sealing-washers-4/ Graham
MV8 Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Rub the rough side across a flat file, sand paper, or nail board and you can reuse them. A thin washer under the head and/or dab of grease to the surface and the screw shoulder will be less likely to tear into them. Typically, there is only a ring gasket between the sender and tank with no sealing washers on the screws on top of the sender.
