New owner looking for recommendations

Hi!

 

I'm about 2 months into ownership of a new Caterham 420R. Something I've been waiting for for 20 years! Thrilled to have it! I'm in the Boston area and looking for any recommendations who can help service the car whenever needed. Greg at Time Machines is great but its a long way to go whenever small stuff is needed. I'm looking to tinker with the car myself but looking for experts at the same time. I was thinking of calling either a few British speciality mechanics in the area or perhaps mechanics focus on Ford engines. Ideally I'd love to find someone who knows what a Caterham is and has worked on them before.

I don't know how proficient they are, but I was driving past Joseph's Garage in Norwell when I spotted a red Caterham in their old showroom. This place always gets my attention as they have a cool old Pontiac neon sign out front and I also have a few old Pontiacs. Anyhow on this day the little red Cat called out to me so I stopped in. I was told that it's Steven Tyler's.... yes, that Steven Tyler, and it was in for servicing. So they at least know what a Caterham is.

Most routine service you can do. It is a Ford engine and other than some Cat bespoke parts on it, most service items are readily available, and no special skills required.

If you have to park in a space with other cars to the sides,  park in the middle of the space and put collapsible cones at the entrance.

Always remember,  you are invisible! A parking spot you occupy looks empty and someone will roll into that space giving you new body accents.
