I'm replacing the alternator/water pump belt on my crossflow and the alternator looks to be ever so slightly angled, such that the right side in the picture is a little further forward. It appears that the alternator itself is angled.

My first question is, is this sufficient angle enough to warrant fixing or am I good to just send it?

If the answer to question one is to fix it, do any xflow owners have any advice for getting it straight, or is the solution to go out and buy a new one? The bracket that's screwed into the block looks straight, and the alternator is mounted to the engine with two bolts both on the left side, so I am not even sure how the alternator could become rotated about this axis.

Some context that might be relevant - the previous belt gave out on a drive recently - I'm wondering if that somehow rotated the alternator? A shop put an FHP belt (meant for lawnmowers etc) on there for some reason, so I'm assuming that's the reason for its demise, and not my alternator being a bit angled (the belt managed to last 2-300 miles).

The first thing I see is the bolt tight on the curved bracket to the alt? It looks loose in that last pic. Is the bracket  tight behind the motor pulley? Also what about the lower mount ? Mine wallowed out so bad I had to drill it out and put sleeves in it. Russ

the shield is never straight and adds to a perception of misalignment.  or maybe lawnmower guy tightened TF out of it. put a straight edge on the pulley faces.
