southwind25 Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Who makes a nice removable steering wheel, or mounting-hub assembly?
pksurveyor Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 My Caterham has Momo wheel and Pegasusautoracing.com has a good selection.
manik Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Westfield supplies a Racetech quick-release hub. Very nice item. http://www.raceparts.co.uk/racetech/steering.htm tm
solder_guy Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I'm using a Grant Security System and steering wheel. Rob
Ian7 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Pay extra and get one with a spline drive attachment. The less-expensive 'hexagonal shaft' versions have too much play in them, will drive you nuts very quickly. IMHO.
Boxologist Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 caterham offers teh steering column for quick relese. i forget if the QR hub and hardware are included. cat UK online store has them both
JBH Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 My Caterham wheel is a Racetech 260mm with a quick release hub - it has Caterham inscribed in the body. I just bought this Momo wheel for and will use the same hub and release on the Racetech wheel. You can find steering wheels from authorized dealers on eBay or internet for less than Pegasus I bought the flat bottom to give me more room for my knees. http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/crowderscustomizing/.mids/MOMO_Mod_12.jpg
