johnh
Four cars from PNW 2007 are on a brief blat in Central California. More pictures tomorrow of twisty roads, good brew, ocean views, etc but today we've had open roads, beautiful (albeit dry and chilly) vistas... http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1694803156_thx_blat.jpg

johnh
Five Se7ens ( 2 Birkins, 2 Caterhams, 1 Locost) left San Luis Obispo this morning and headed into the hills of Central California. We planned to cross the fault at Parkfield but alas, the diner was closed. So we headed for the coast: http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1023602848_thx_blat_fault.jpg Here are Dion & Sindy, Gert & Rosie, John, Stan, and Scott & John (or at least their cars) taking a break... http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/756807015_thx_blat_group.jpg More great vistas: http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1670201057_thx_blat_road_ahead.jpg http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/757923432_thx_blat_north.jpg California has it's own version of fall colors: http://usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/695400364_thx_blat_fall_colors.jpg We had a great run on the backroads but Hwy 1 was swamped with tourists so not much joy on the ride down the coast back to SLO. slomove
Sorry guys - didn't mean to hijack this thread, just couldn't resist the contrast between east and west coast. Have a great blat  Well, not that much contrast.....Driving up through the Los Padres NF and the next day in the morning out to Parkfield the temperatures dipped below 40 or so. Normally not a big deal but with temperatures in the low seventies here in LA we had packed a little lightly. That means we froze our butt off and stopped at the next available Target store to add a few layers and get gloves. My fresh-air footwell ventilation did not really help and I plugged it with a shopping bag. Gert
slomove
Here a picture of another mountain road vista point (Nacimiento-Fergusson Road): http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2018708562_NaciementoFergusson.jpg San Luis Obispo is a college town and it appears the rising tuition has some consequences for the choice of vehicle (Of course with rear license plate, windscreen, lights and in perfectly roadworthy condition) http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1586032312_RustBag1.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1345276816_RustBag2.jpg
Hudson
I don't see Stan's car. I'm sure it was red and had room for four. Good to see you got the problems (electrical ?) sorted. Wish I could have gone with you guys. Ed
gjslutz
Here in Ohio, I was out Friday & Sunday. It was cool, but light traffic to deal with. As there was no rain the top was off. It is raining this AM so I'll add a touch more toe in. Tomorrow it will be dry and will be driving again.
Kitcat
Blatting here also. Poor weather had kept me from doing much more than cleaning/waxing the car. Road & Track says when you are spending more time rubbing your car than driving it, you have a problem. So my 3 hour blat yesterday has helped restore balance to my driving:rubbing equation. BTW-I am a big fan of cold weather Seven driving. I can control the temperature in the vehicle with the heater as long as the top is up, unlike the summer when the car is almost too hot to sit in. Also, the raised top actually cuts noise substantially (a quiet 7?). And the engine seems much happier in cool weather.
