GBOLT
Can I shead my newbie status now that I ordered a Super Stalker:hurray: , or do I have to wait until it is built enough to sit in and make vroom-vroom sounds:lol:? Being a freshman back in the day was bad enough, did I earn (buy) my new rank yet?
slomove
No, you need it finished, licensed, 20,000 miles on the clock, one bad or two light accidents and a broken engine. Oh well, I'll add a smiley P.S.: Congratulations to the first step!!

Al N.
Several coolant hose mishaps and at least one drive of over 5 hours in the pouring rain are also key to earning jedi status.:jester:

Al N.
don't forget running out of gas! also, for Jedi status, you have to join the flying hood club Running out of gas is only bettered by running out of gas on the Dragon in the middle of an Automobile Magazine photoshoot! (CHECK!) As for the hood...The order of the flying hood is a small, but very exalted subgroup within the brotherhood. I am unworthy to even discuss such matters. --- Don't be scared off by these true stories, GBOLT. They only make you/the car stronger.

Being a freshman back in the day was bad enough, did I earn (buy) my new rank yet? I have had the pleasure to meet with Glenn prior to his purchase of his SuperStalker. Very enthusiastic about Se7ens but be careful about making Cobra jokes...He has built one of those as well. Glenn is a car nut just like the rest of us and will make a great addition to the USA7s group. Welcome Glenn!! Enjoy your trip to Florida to meet the Stalker clan. We will be checking on your build progress. Jack
xromad
...but be careful about making Cobra jokes...He has built one of those as well. Probably just means he knows more good Cobra jokes than we do.....:jester: Fess up Glenn, what experience do you have? :bigears: p.s. Flying a Cobra hood doesn't count in this group, but it does make good practice for future qualification....
Kitcat
Speaking of Stalkers, I note that on one of the pages of the CHILL website for Indy Lotus owners (Which is sponsoring next year's Lotus Owners Gathering -LOG28) there are two Lotuses pictured: an Elise and a Stalker (!). Hey Kitcat, The Stalker belongs to me. Did you watch the video? Some of the film was from my rollbar mounted camera. Several Eise, Esprite, Exige and Se7en owners in our CHILL group that have been working on the Indy LOG. Very active group You are close enough to Indy that WE WILL expect you to attend LOG 28. Should be a lot of fun. I am in charge of the Concourse on the Circle on Saturday and the Scenic Drive and Rally on Sunday. You won't want to miss the garage tour at Walker Racing on Friday. Monday will be our Track Day at Putnam Park. As of two weeks ago, 170 rooms at the Hilton have been reserved by those who plan to attend. They are going fast. GBOLT
Guys, Thanks for the 20 minutes of giggles. I'll never contribute witty comments, but boy I enjoy them, especially the banter and ribbing. If you see about 25 posts from me over the next few days, just ignore them, I am just trying to earn my stripes. I really look forward to meeting more of you guys. As Jack said, I met him in the Fall and we spent an great night talking cars, and plotting the sales pitch to the wife. As you can tell by my success with our pitch, Jack and I produced a masterful marketing and sales plan:lol:. While I have no tales to tell with the Cobra, I can tell you my kids (8 & 6) are now plotting who gets what car when I am gone. My daughter asked which is faster, I told her the Stalker most likely, without hesitation she called it. My son on the other hand heard the word Jedi somewhere in the posts, and also try to claim it. Oh well, until the time comes they are both mine . Bear with me as I ask the questions I am sure to ask. I was once told the only dumb question, was the one I did not ask, so I ask a lot. Sean
I was once told the only dumb question, was the one I did not ask, so I ask a lot. I have always been told something similar. But then, my younger brother was working as a scuba instructor at a resort where he was once asked, "What time does the seven o'clock boat leave?". Now I normally try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but no matter how I look at it, that question is just plain dumb. For the record, without any hesitation my brother replied, "Four twenty-three a.m sharp -- don't be late, or you'll miss it!" He then turned and walked away while they pondered the answer. :ack:
