Drawing a crowd when we stopped we got alot of thumbs up from the biker crowd. I think that they get it.

What a great weekend! At least till the clutch broke on Sunday. Oh well. Loren did a great job and we can't wait to go back!

Here's how to stay warm in a Se7en with a cut down windscreen when it's 36 degrees outside! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/112759681_coldweathergear.jpg

I was actually going to take a stab at driving my Cat down from Cincy: Wife was out of town for 6 days; decks were cleared at work, dog boarding was arranged, had the route planned, had called local motels, as where you were staying was booked, etc., etc. Thot I could do 400 miles Thurs afternoon/evening after work, 800 Fri, hang out/drive Sat/Sun, then 2 days back.

Don't know if either the car or I would have actually made it. I have my doubts as it was so ambitious. But the weather made it all moot-tornadoes, hail, rain, subfreezing temperatures, possible snow, ferocious winds etc., predicted for the first 2 days of the drive made it impossible. The pictures look great tho, wish I could have been there.

Weahter did look bad up in that area. But thankfully it was sunny and near perfect mid 70s most of the weekend. We will be doing this again in the future. Maybe next time.

This was my wife's first ride in the Birkin over 45 minutes in length, and the first time on interesting roads. As you can see from her smile in the picture above, she really enjoyed it! She commented on how you really experience the countryside from the seat of a Se7en - the temperature changes, the smells, the sounds and the unobstructed view. We passed a long row of Porsches going the other direction, and she made the comment "Those people don't know what they are missing!" :-)))) She also noticed a sign marking an approaching curve as "25 mph". She said she looked down and the speedo said 65. She wasn't concerned - she has enough autocross experience from years back to understand - but I think the little car impressed her......

Seeya!

This was the first time my wife has ridden in the car for more than 15 min. I was very concerned that she was going to be a miserable nervous wreck. She did do alot of bar grabbing and arm grabbing first half of the day. Once she learned that I wasnt going to go off the road in the corners she began to relax and enjoy. I had to go thru the curves at a much slower pace than what I would have prefered, but I wanted her to talk to me at the end of the day. The first day i couldnt get over 4k rpm before she was telling me to slow down. Second day I got into Vtec a few times without much complaint. I was proud of her for hanging in there. In the end she had a great time and is looking forward to doing it again next year.
