A friend told me about this museum .. and although I have yet to enter it .. I did enjoy peaking into the window yesterday .. (actually the owner should find my face smear marks there :) )

The Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum

Location: middle of Georgia, 50 miles east of Atlanta, south of I-20 exit 114, at the Double Bubble Ranch.

I've heard of that one, and have wanted to go there ever since. It reminds me of past travels to Japan, where the microcar era has continued uninterrupted from the very beginning...

Here's a shot of a 50cc, one-seater Mitsuoka microcar (Mitsuoka gallery here), which was taken in 2003 on the island of Chichi-jima in the Ogasawara Islands (not far from Iwo-jima), which is technically still in Tokyo:

...and here's a photo taken in 2005 in the city of Kumamoto, on Kyushu, of one of the many motorcycles that Japan never exported to the U.S.:

For reference, I am 5'-7".

Wow!! - Thanks, Rob . I've driven right by there many times in the past dozen years, but did not know about it. I'm definitley gonna go!!

BTW - the town of Madison has some beautiful homes that Gen Sherman missed, if you like looking at that type of thing.

Thats cool. Amazing how some of these you can drive by and never know they are there.

For those that may be interested, another one here in Nashville if you have time to spend travelling hither and yon. Also odd in that they set up events where people can ride in some of the cars, P50 (yes the one from that car show in England) etc. Also used to have a mini-car parade of some sort, though I have never seen it. They also have a few Sevens. Dunno if I have linked this before or not. Maybe a possible links page for the USA7's website to cool car musuems.

Another I read about, but then it moved farther away that may be worthy of a visit to mobile motorheads is this one. Used to be at the guys house, but got bigger and bigger. Cool that he would start them up for folks, not just put them on a pedestal with a do not touch sign near it.

While I had heard about the one in Georgia, I have never heard of the one in Nashville before. Unfortunately, they are both kind of far from me, dang it.

While motorcycles aren't really my thing, what the heck, if I ever get to the Lane museum, why not!

It would appear Tennessee has some pretty cool motoring museums.
