Jon, just got wind that you have competition on this forum for the most cones/timeing box hits in a single event. However, the new champ has the distinction of getting booted from the event for putting all four wheels on the grass!!!:ack: :eek: :eek: or so I heard. :leaving:

 

I shall let the guilty party confess themself. (or give some lame excuse.) :D :d. Tom

Just previewed my video from sunday's Philly Region Autox. Seem to have a few blips from the camera/tape. I'll edit and Upload shortly. Still no confession yet from the accused party??? Is he in hiding? :) Tom

yeah, i saw that yesterday on teh forum. we actually had a Fox body mustang slide thru teh finish on saturday and crush the photocell case. luckily we were prepared and had a spare. the emitted and board still work, so that will be rebuilt.

 

ya, will have to up my game.

Here's one of my runs from Sunday's Philly Region Autox in Warmnister, Pa. Seems like I'm still coasting and not using the loud pedal to the fullest extent. Sooner or later I'll get this thing down. Tom

I've done that in the vette, and the school did not have a spare in the trailer. I was a really popular guy that day :leaving:

this is what i get for not checking usa7s every few hours!

 

run 6 i knocked over the timing box and got away with it.. scared the little bugger and it gave me a second off my time :) (sorta) also knocked off ANOTHER fender... this leaves me with one originally mounted fender on the car.

 

run 7 i avoided the timing box (since i was informed there is no spare and i would be murdered by all other heat 3/4 drivers if it was blown out) and ended up in the grass after a 360.

 

the last run was not that hard but the falken rt-615 tires were HOT. i was not spraying them between runs and im running only 235 in the back. also the concrete at the end was not as grippy as i imagined it to be (tom). for now i will blame it on the tire but Pat says it was driver error :jonautox:

novice errors. u'll grow out of teh stupid ones. in the nine runs i've had so far this year, i've hit only one cone, and i haven't really walked the courses w/ SSS duties to get the event started. almost funny when i ask teh starter to hold off on teh next car a bit longer because i haven't walked teh course and my first time is still faster than half teh field's final runs.

Ok Jon, so did you move up to slicks or are you doing it with superior driving? :) Tom

 

As for Roman, I talked to one of the instructors who drove your car and he said your car was a handful to drive. Maybe wider tires in the rear, lower it a bit, adjust the rake, etc. Do one thing at a time and the cheapest first. Tom
