I installed a 2-post Bendpak lift (MX-10ACX) in my garage. I couldn't afford the Rotary. :D

Here's a shot:

Any pictures of your work space?

Hank, you and Gary have two post lifts, which are really handy for brake and wheel work. I wish I had one last week when I was replacing the disk pads and ebrake shoes on my vette.

I have a 4 poster. Here's what it all looked like before I moved all my stuff in.

Jerry,

If I remember correctly the stuff you moved in was a new Corvette to sit on the lift. My floor never looked as good as yours. I don’t know how you do it while doing very high quality wood work.

I have 18’ ceiling height in the hanger. So the “used $1500” Rotary with the extension was about 16’ high.

It fit very well.

Gary

Wow, Those are some beautiful garages.... If you tell me you A/C in them I will cry....

I work out of a barn and use cardboard as a creeper....

Jerry, that garage is amazing! I love the floor treatment. My epoxy floor leaves A LOT to be desired. :)

My next garage will have a 4-post for quick oil changes and race car storage. The 2-post is mainly for suspension & chassis work where the wheels need to be removed.

Hey Hank,

I see you are in Baton Rouge.. We will be down there on the 25th and 26th of Sept racing with your police department .

The 26th is the begining of the FireBall run. Would love to see the progress on the Westfield.

Jerry, Is that tile flooring ? I bet the yellow monster looks great sitting in there !

Cheers

I'm envious of the space.

Three cars in a two car garage:

That orange Ariens in the bottom left, for you folks way down south of the 49th, is a "snow thrower."

Nice garages .. even yours Kevin .. all I have is a carport full of mosquitos right now.

Jerry .. your car garage has been etched in my mind from previous pics!

Well get out your handkerchief... my garage has a separate heating and air conditioning system. It's about 25 ft at the peak, so I can get my Tahoe full height on the lift. It is fully insulated and drywalled, and has 2"thick insulated doors, which are 8 foot high, rather than the normal 7. I did that in case I wanted to roll the lift out someday. That's pretty unlikely, as it would roll down the driveway.

Hank: a 2 post and a 4 post would be lift heaven. In my old garage, the floor was epoxy. What a royal pain in the butt that installation was!!! After doing it I vowed the next garage would have tile. Mine is a snap together tile, which has holes in it, so when I wash the floor, the water runs thru the tile, and out from under it with the slope of the garage floor. The product was Motormat, but their website isn't up anymore, they dealt through etileflooring.com. You can google garage tiles for lots of vendors of plastic tiles. It only took myself and two grandkids one day to install it (about 1000 square feet)

Got these cabinets a couple months ago.... can't really do much work in the garage but it looks nice.

Would love a garage with a lift. With my skills it would only allow me to wax the bottom half of the car without bending down:o

Bad news, my garage has A/C & heat. Between the 2-car and the 1-car w/lift it's 1500sf. The most expensive part was $2200 for the Amarr garage doors. :)

7evin: The Megabusa kit won't arrive until the 1st week of November. :( Can I watch you race? Where at, the EVO Center?

At the mechanic shop the Bendpak lift arms do not allow for a low clearance vehicle. We had to run the the Seven up on two thicknesses of plywood to allow for enough clearance to be lifted by it.

The new two post lift has lower arms and several pairs of metal inserts for various auto clearances. Minimum clearance is 3 1/2" Check out: Greg Smith Equipment.com

Of course all these lifts require a dedicated 220v service .. You cannot plug it into the back of the dryer 220v :)

I just got the 67 PU ready for my 16yr old daughter to drive to school. Actually did work on this truck (except for exterior paint). She's driven less than 10 times and already put a pretty good scratch over the driver's left rear fender:banghead:

Still a couple glitches with the S2K but hope to have it all dialed real soon (waiting on brake rotor).

Hank, Would love to have you come and be apart of the event I'll know more once I get there.

you can contact me @ 678-314-3906. I most likely will not be racing Mojito in this event.

Mondo, OMG that thing is beautiful..... I can see why she is smiling ear to ear. Great job.... My daughter has been

looking for a 50s vintage for a couple of months now... She loves old trucks.

Cheers
