powderbrake
The triathlon for Kit Cars is here again. 4 days, with a class on chassis set-up with corner weighting scales, road course, autocross and drags. Who will be the Overall Top Dog? Cobras, Sevens, Ultimas, Mongooses ( Mongeese?), Austin Healys, Dragons, GT40s, & Daytona Coupes are among the various kit cars that will be competing. It is always a ton of fun. Bring your seven, and kick some Cobra butt!!! The road course will be run with a group that matches your speed and experience level. Transponders will be issued for each car, so every lap you run will be for time. Lots of track time, last year some guys ran 200 laps. Autocross is by engine and tire class, as are the drags. See Run N Gun for details on registration, rules, and hotels. oilteq
I hope the reporting in Kit Car magazine is better this year. Last year they ranked the names of the competitors and not the cars they drove, the reporter could not tell the difference between a Stalker and an Ultralight, and they did not mention that the timing lights were broken during nearly all of Friday's session. Perhaps it will be better reading this year.
