Ian7 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 http://www.superlitecars.com/roadster_spec.html actually pretty close to a bike-engined Formula Ford
tnttim Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I would have to say, "No". Since the engine is in the back it pulls too far away from the original Idea of a Seven.
supersportsp Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 More like a poor man's Ariel Atom. I saw this today myself.
Mike Rohaley Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 How about this one? http://www.mevltd.co.uk/gallerysonic.html
Mike Rohaley Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 The 3 cars that this MevLtd. company builds are all rear engine too but the look leans on a sevenesque style too(at least the Sonic 7). I guess the difference is whether or not you are evaluating it as only a casual observer or from a more in-depth perspective such as us.
Ian7 Posted November 18, 2008 Author Posted November 18, 2008 How about this one? http://www.mevltd.co.uk/gallerysonic.html from some angles, that Sonic7 looks like it should drive down the beach and slide into the water amphibiously ... fine line, this personal taste stuff; hate this Sonic7, but keen on that Australian Elfin from a few weeks back.
Ian7 Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 I would have to say, "No". Since the engine is in the back it pulls too far away from the original Idea of a Seven. ok, agreed. how about this then............... http://twintechcars.com/
MHKflyer52 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 ok, agreed. how about this then............... http://twintechcars.com/ Jack McCornack originally had built a Locost 7 (2005 time frame I think) using a V-twin so I guess you can say it is a LSIS car. I actually like the way they made the rear suspension. I also feel that it is sort of a combination of the Locost and an Atom from the looks of the frame. Still like the original design better for a 7.

tnttim Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/24/ebay-find-of-the-day-1952-ariel-square-four-wooden-racer/ here's another "not a seven" with the engine in the back, but style points for originality This looks similar to a design I once seen in a Popular Mechanics magazine. One of those wood car plans they did a piece on. Very nice. Looks like CrisCraft though about a car. tnttim
Ian7 Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Jeez, everyone and their brother is on our bandwagon, but this is too much... yuch! http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/10/supercharged-supercar-hulme-to-offer-zr1s-ls9-v8/
Jeff7 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Jeez, everyone and their brother is on our bandwagon, but this is too much... yuch! http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/10/supercharged-supercar-hulme-to-offer-zr1s-ls9-v8/ God bless em, we need more not less. "The more the merrier".
DeanG Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 ok, agreed. how about this then............... http://twintechcars.com/ Now that's interesting. It's a shame they chose a HD engine with seemingly better V twin engines available. A S&S or even cooler a Guzzi. Is it an automatic or just an ugly sequential shifter?
Jeff7 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 How about this for a laugh? http://www.topgear.com/us/videos/more/clarkson-caparo-t1/
