Mr Slngsht requested (in a private missive) that I post some pics of our car.

I am really not all that computer savy and , while I did try to send him a few links, I am really not all that confident that he received anything at all.

Sorry if this is a waste of forum space but I will take this opportunity to post a few pics.

Hope this works slngsht! ... gosh darned wazzit button thingy!   ... Doh!

Works perfectly. Showing off rides is one of the purposes of the General section http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/thumbsup.gif

Great start, how about some details and pictures of the engine and trans?

Well you asked for it....By the way my car is a BEC and the tranny lives in the engine.

I can't seem to post pics in this window so I added them to the original post!

Thanks for posting the pics. Beautiful car! So I imagine you are using the stock Suzuki 6-speed sequential tranny?

BTW, if you're interested in more power, I have friends that build 'Busas. One fella has his Turboed and is getting something like 350 RWHP. Other guys with more extreme boost are getting around 500.No_62006-12-04 12:17:37

Yup, the engine comes with the tranny.

It is the standard 180 BHP Busa engine.

The Kit manufacturer (DEMAN) has a 350 hp turbo and I know I can get one (that is properly plumbed) for the car.

see pic below:

We are quite content, for the moment, with the car as is. It will still get us from 0 - 60 mph in 3.42 secs and my son (the mechanic) and I are planning to buy a second Busa and do a 1500 cc conversion (just for fun).   ...   I'm told we can tweek a 1500 cc Busa up to about 250 BHP and not add any weight and you know what that means!

Cheers!

My car is photo-documented pretty well at my personal site:

But here's a pic from before I got my hands on it...note aeroscreen, rear exit exhaust, and stock color exhaust guard.

Oh hey, for comparison simply look at the second car from the left in the header above.

Great pics.

Like your sign off line BTW. I used something very similar years ago for an ad headline... "Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a damn good time" This for a guy who was starting a biz for exec excitement (no, not that sort) built around off roading and flights in Bi planes. Went very well as I recall.

Thanks!

Chris Custer, originator of Rotus, was apparently a decendent of General Custer

Some already know this, but my other favorite line/philosophy is: happiness is not around the corner, happiness is the corner"

Fits sevening rather well (even if it was first written for a BMW ad!). http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/thumbsup.gif
