I have been thinking some time about trading my 2006 Polar Blue Exige (with a BWR SC with Charlie's tune) for a Caterham/Seven. Please shoot me a PM if you are interested.

Here are some details on my car:

2006 Polar Blue Exige

8,6xx miles

Track Pack (including harness bar)

R888 tires with about 50% tread left

LSD

TC

Stage II exhaust

All records and manual

Mods:

Rear Panel delete (have all the parts if you wanted to put it back on)

BWR SC with Charlie Tune

Painted polar blue engine cover, center console, and A/C surround

Lowered slightly and corner balanced (this was done pre SC, so it

probably needs a slight adjustment. I have the spec sheet if you want

to see)

Shifter reinforcer

Sys pack (installed on driver side; have parts for passenger side;

ready for 5/6 point harness to be installed)

Painted orange calipers

Whatever comes out of it, make sure to meet up with us 7/9/2009 at Skip Cannon's house details here (hope you don't mind me inviting people to your home ;-) ). I suppose Erie isn't that big so it should be right in your neighborhood. Maybe you have Seven by that time and can drive along at least for a bit :) Well, and if not we are friendly to an Exige, too....

Gert,

Se7en people (well, most any gearhead/petrolhead/car person) are always welcome at my home, even if they haven't yet realized their dream. The more the merrier.

As a matter of fact, he was over a few days ago to have a look at my car and has been invited back for a ride now that I am able to drive it. :D:D

It looks like I am getting pretty close to a Seven - the reserve price has been met on the eBay auction! (see the above link for a link to the auction) :D

Still, it will be sad to let this one go.

Still looking. I looked at a caterham here in town, but it was a little too tracked focused for me. I was talking to someone on the california caterham forum with 1700 crossflow caterham for sale, but told him I would have to wait until I sold my car to discuss further. I like the car, but I am not too sure I want to go with something carbureted.

Have also been talking to Dick Brink about a Birkin. I will likely make a trip down there to drive a couple of them. The pricing and options seem about right - I would say that a Birkin is probably the direction I am heading.

You have any leads?

Buy my Westfield. Hell, Louisiana might not make it street legal for me. Only 5 miles on it! :D

Don't listen to the above post! Someone must have logged into Hanks account and posted this.

Goat,

IIRC, the same problem Hank is having in LA will arise here in CO. A windshield and wipers are mandatory. It might get missed in the inspection but I recall that Keith had problems with that on his Locost when he first tired to register it.

Check it out before you make a commitment.

Thanks for the tip. The Caterham I looked at in Boulder has the same problem, but the guy there runs a dealer plate to get around that issue.

Also, the car has been sold. I ended the auction early for the high bidder. Now, on to lighter and more nimble things.

Congratulations on the sale. Time to add lightness (and power).:D
