OOOH, Competition!!! :D Turbo, slicks, Uhh Oh, Turbos are not allowed in DMOD.

But I won't tell anyone Roman. :D Hope the weather holds for next weekends Autoxing opener.

I just Flushed out the Brake Fluid, Changed the Oil and Filter, replaced the Oil Pressure Sender. Installed the Petty strut. And Ordered new Toyo's and Hoosiers.

Just did a preseason tech inspection, found some loose rear antisway droplinks, that I'll replace.

Getting ready for the Barber Track day.

Do you have to put front fenders on for autox/track? Guess it might throw up some loose gravel with sticky tires;)

Boy, my wife would love to have the exhaust go down the middle of the car.

Glad to see you got it all sorted and now are doing the fun stuff!

yea i did not think about the dmod thing when i went for the tubro. i really wanted some way to quiet the exhaust down and i dont have room to put a nice formal muffler. also i would lve to have a bit more power on the street as this is where the car spends more of its life. for the 4/26 autox i will still be running in dmod. im not sure if my springs will hold the slicks and im also not sure if new front fender backets will be ready. i can legally run fenderless though... may do it :)

later in the season with turbo ill be in e-mod but ill still be chaisng your times Tom.

You never know. If you can get that rear end to stick, I may be chasing your times.

As for fenders, techinally you need to have at least half the tire covered, but locally, you probably won't run into any problems. Just make sure you and any passengers are wearing full faced helmets, because with sticky Hooisers, you WILL be throwing around every stone and peeble on the course.

I'm switching to R35A compound on the Hoosiers as I want to be able to use them on the track at Barber Motorsports park. I feel that I may get hooked on this track day thing. More seat time, Something different. I still enjoy the One minute of thrill on the Autox course, I'm just expanding my horizon.

i think im still far from chasing your times. the turbo will make the rear kick more, and the slicks will hide more mistakes.

i called scca and asked regarding fenders and was told that since its a mod class i would be fine as long as im good for my weight. being that my fenders are aluminum i would say they are only 2-3lb or so each.

i think that this season i would like to take an evo school and next season expand to track days. im just not comfortable enough with high speeds in my own car as of yet.

also, i just registered for carlisle. i spoke with steve and we are planning on meeting to drive together. what are your plans?

Evo school was best $ I ever invested in improving driving skills. Nothing like 3 National Champions providing in-car advice and getting 40 runs per day to get it right. If you can auto-X you can track day. The biggest leap is from street driving to auto -X (IMHO).

I'll have to pass on Carlisle this year. Both My Wife and my oldest Daughter Graduate on that weekend.

My wife gets her Doctorate and my oldest Daughter graduates with her Batcheor's degree.

I think it would be a mistake to miss those events. :D
