powderbrake
I corresponded with Chad during his S2k build, and visited his home to see the progress just before his first start-up. I was blown away by the quality of the build. Chad added all the stuff you could wish for, like the classy carbon fiber bits, and the fuel cell installation with the pump in it's own well to avoid any fuel starvation on long turns. Chad is a meticulous builder, making sure that everything is perfect before moving to the next step. I thought that my S2k was pretty nice, but it pales in comparison to the workmanship on Chad's. The paint on this car is a spectacular metallic finish, and the pictures just don't do it justice. The full coverage paint shield should keep it looking great for years of road or track time. Checkout the shot of the rear end and suspension. The candy apple red axles, gold suspension bars, and shiny black diff and u-joints is definitely cool. Whoever gets this car is going to have the finest WMC Ultralite S2k that I have ever seen.:D
Mondo
I've spoken with Chad on several occasions and 2nd Powderbrake's comments. I can't imagine a S2K with more attention to detail and better sorted (wish I could of had you make 2 sets of the interior bits like the panels and center console while you were at it;)) Sorry it wasn't what you expected Chad, it will definately make someone happy! slomove
Chad, sorry to see you abandon this beauty....and make sure to sell it to the West Coast! I hope it was not the company of our merry band of Seveners on the last NorCal trip or the long arm of the CHP that deterred you ;-) Gert Edited April 21, 2009 by slomove
David C
Here I am in the Seattle area, newly laid off, and this pops up to torture me. I'll trade you a 1991 BMW 850i with a six-speed manual and all my future unemployment checks What a deal - you'll get three times the car. 12 cylinders instead 4 lonely little ones, 4100 lbs instead of a third of that. banjo29
If only it was a FFV GTM... Thanks but I'm not looking for another open car. My car now on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200361452272 with the reserve price set a fair ways below my asking price. jimrankin
Interested in the WCM. Although it's a little more dressed up than I was looking for your at least on the same coast (seems like everything interesting is somewhere east of the rockies). If your reserve isn't met I'd like to talk to you about it. Was looking for something a little more powerful than my MINI Cooper S for track days and have found a couple of "track only" specialty cars that fit the bill but this may be a better idea. Mondo
It's a great time to have cash available for toys. Though I'm rarely one of those lucky guys to get a great deal. Chad, you can take solace that if your in the market for another toy it's probably got a similar discount. Edited July 26, 2009 by Mondo
