RGTorque
so im getting a set of 18" "leisure shoes" for the 7 and taking the 19's back to my daily. im going to go with 225/40/18 front and 245/40/18 rear. i already have a set of track wheels and tires so this set wont generally make it to the track, but there is always a chance i could put it on a road course (lessons). so the question. do i spend $1000 on re-11's or do i get a set of cheepies i can beat the life out of for $350. in the past ive always bought cheepies nankang/linlong tiresoff ebay for my big wheels on my daily drivers. i have been very happy with the result, even when i beat the crap out of them... help? slngsht
my advice is go with smallest dia rims you can fit over your uprights and brakes, and stickiest compounds. r888 or similar, or with the turbo you'll be slidng all over the place
Croc
...... or with the turbo you'll be slidng all over the place and that is a problem? sounds pretty good fun to me

WestTexasS2K
I would look at the Falken RT615 it is cheap and available in alot of sizes and it is a very good tire for street driving as long as it is dry. It is crap when wet.
RGTorque
i just came a cross a deal for a set of 235/40/18 and 2 245/40/18 in the new nitto nt05 tire (rated better then the falken 615-rt). i can get these to my door for $574 with all the warranties in tact. i was hoping for a 225 front and a 255 rear but they dont make that size(yet). there is a MARGINAL difference in tire width so im hoping to not have any problems like i would with exact same width all around. shiva
I just ordered a set of Toyo R888 in 225/45/16 front and 245/45/16 read. I've used the R888 before in 225/45/15`s on my miata. Hope the 16 are as good. Sometimes the sidewall can be a little different from one size to the other. Never heard of the NT05.. are those in the "extreme performance" category? We see of lot of new tire in that category lately (toyo R1R an such)
RGTorque
nt05 is a new tire from nitto for 09 dont know if its extream or not. treadware is 200 but i like the pattern a lot better then then 615-rt.
