Now that this thread has been hijacked, does anyone know where can I find a high quality power outlet? I need to put one in my Cat for the nav unit I've got.

I wouldn't consider it high end but I got a decent one from Walmart for less than $10. It powers the radar detector on my Caterham.

I got a couple of Sutars (Swedish) surface-mount 12-v outlets that I have put on a horizontal panel under the dash. Take a look at their various options at:
