Nice! Thinks you guys can make some vids like that from TOTD?

Here is a clip that keeps me inspired on my build...I think that I watch it daily now. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif   It is a Fluke Motorsports R1 powered seven. In the video they are dialing in the flatshift system (no lift upshift).

I'm waiting for someday getting one of these guys for my car

Zeroshift makes guts for the T5 tranny, which would fit perfectly in my car. At some point the rumor was that they would take $6K to upgrade a tranny. Not sure if that was true, and how close they are to production.

Have you looked closely at the trees and poles on that course. I don't think you would see that here in the states the enviromentalist would be up in arms over the tires rapped around the trees and the slight chance of someone running into one and hurting it let alone the possiblity of someone running off the road and killing some rare form of weed. As for that I would just like to give that road a try but I do not think I would be anywhere as quick as that driver and that seven.

Zeroshift has a cool product...but I have to raise the BS flag on their promo vid. The car in the first half is accelerating much harder than in the second. It is also noted that the "redline" or shift point is a good bit lower in the second half as well.

Zeroshift would be cool to have though. Can you get a dog box or equivalent guts for your T-5?

Yes, I can. But I can't continue to pour money into this thing at the current rate. I'll have to live with it for a little while http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/smile5.gif

I don't know what Zeroshift's problem is. I guess the product doesn't really work in practical applications. They obviously have cars running with it - maybe it can't take the torque during the shift.

You don't need to shift much anyways...you've got MONSTER TORQUE! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/yesnod.gifhttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif

There are plenty of cool gadgets that I intend to put on my car as well. Like you say though, the bleeding has to stop at some point. Right now my focus is just on getting it running and driving for spring.R1 Seven2007-01-10 11:57:39

I believe the video was shot on a portion of the Isle of Man TT motorcycle course on a public closed-course day.

I've seen other clips of this, one showing two Sevens and several bikes dicing. I'll see if I can locate it and post the url.

doubtful. its probably on the continent. My guess from the LHD, building style, topography, and swiss flag...

I've seen the the Isle of Man and Isle of Wight videos. great stuff anyone who hasn't should check them out on youtube!Boxologist2007-01-17 11:11:37

Boxologist,

You may be right -- though I doubt it is in Switzerland (despite the Swiss flag), since Switzerland banned almost all motorized speed contests after the 1955 Pierre Levegh tragedy at Le Mans.

Here is a neat, long film clip taken on a public outing on the TT course on the Isle of Man. The camera car (forward-facing main camera and rear facing inset camera) is a 140 hp Caterham; the yellow Caterham is an R500 (250 hp), and the numerous bikes are ?????

Go to: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8327980196197139838&q=caterham&hl=en

If this doesn't get your blood up, rigor mortis has set in....
