I like the look but I do not think it is very AERO as the tires and wheels present a very large wall and a lot of drag to the oncoming air. The little wing on the short tail section looks cool but being that close to the top and the deck of the rear section so I do not think it is very functional but it looks cool.........but that is just my belief.

Still like the look........:cooldude:

It looks like a Se7en version of a Hot Rod Model T pickup. I agree it probably doesn't have much, if any aero advantage but it makes up for it in the cool factor.

The 16" Inke Superlites that clear the big Wilwoods by a paper thin margin help equal out the allwheel drive a bit, really get to go in late before braking and the MINI is just sooo predictable even Klutz (yes, capital K) drivers do well. It just about sends you a written notice that your pushing the limit.LOL

I have a DD Mini that is Auto-X prepped and an Ultralite 2KR when I want to play. The Mini on a road track is short on power but offers so much grip and a ridiculously wide envelope to play. I've always described the car as having Matrix like bullet-time. You can pile drive it deep into a corner, hit the slow-mo button, correct your stupidity, and come out looking like you meant to do it. The 7 is quite the opposite and I love that about both cars.

I talked with Ben at Caterham USA about this subject for a while yesterday. Ben is mentioned in the article that was posted back a few pages as part of the Caterham team at a wind tunnel trying to make improvements.

The biggest positive change Ben said they were able to make was getting the floor as sealed up as possible, with getting some sort of chin spoiler and something to seal up the area under the engine as the biggest game changers. The best cycle fenders were the CSR style which they added some louvers to on the back surface which helped things quite a bit. These all helped either significantly reduce lift or add a little downforce without increasing drag.

Ben said he spent a good deal of time trying to do something about rear wings area, but nothing really worked to deal with the stalled out air behind the car.

Donkervoort has probably been doing the most with aero improvements of any of the Se7en producers. For example, the D8 GT.

Man that Hahlin7 is one bad mother..... That and John Meyers LS powered Stalker

are probably 2 of the fastest 7 s on the planet.

The Hahlin 7 is running a turbo Volvo power-plant, 510 hp to the ground.

at the drag strip 150.9 mph.... that is rolling.

I have a in car video from Run n Gun of us running on the track with John, That guy can DRIVE...

The Donks, I love them... As far as aero goes they seem to win hands down.

The Dragon, (tale) I have spent many years going to the Dragon on sport bikes.

I was always rather proud of my time from lake to stateline. A little while back we had the car

up there just having some fun. While stopped at the Cross Roads of Time we had a

couple of guys come over and ask us about the car. I shared with them it was the

fastest thing I had ever had on the mountain. They were surprised. They said " sure it

is fast, but I doubt it would run with our Aprilia's". I was was rather confident it would.

So we put a little wager on it and I agreed to let them pass if they caught me. State

line to the lake. When we arrived at the lake we got out of the car took off our helmets

and waited for them. When they arrived they both parked their bikes took off their helmets

and ask " what the Hell is that thing !" Come to find out they both road race bikes and

where floored any thing that was street legal could run that fast. They ask if we would

follow them to the ATM so they could pay us what they owed. I laughed and told them

this one was on me. I call it lesson # 7

Ok back to Aero.... We are hoping to have time to test the changes that have made to Mojito in the wind tunnel

over in NC. that is the only real way to tell what works and what doesn't. I will post the video's of the event when we are done.

Wings, They really don't do much for you as far as making the car clean and slippery.

But when you are in the triple digit arena they sure help you keep it planted.

Down force can be achieved several ways most of them require a wind tunnel and a

large stack of cash.

Then there is the Hill Billy/ Red neck way. Put wingz on it and supe it up... :D

Bster13: (HPDE) if you can drive well and you learn how to brake late and carry your speed thru the corners you will exit

with so much more speed then the others they will have a very difficult time keeping up with you in street cars.

MoPho: I assume you are the photographer that took the pics on the website you have listed? Wow...

Those are some of the best pics.... If we are in your neck of the woods

at an event I would like to have you come a shoot pics for us.
