Ruadhd2
Rotisserie History. I just may have become one of the world's only multiple Rotus owners. I now have two Roti, having purchased Old Yellow's rotary powered Rotus. I really can call my car a Rotus and not be politically incorrect, since it is a Lotus based on a rotary engine concept and not something that a given portion of humanity cannot easily pronounce. Rotus #3 (1984) with Toyota drive components is still in my possession and still for sale to some future lucky project dreamer. I don't know what the production number on Old Yellow was (1990) but it is a different animal with the Mazda 13b motor and other goodie bits. So, there you have it...a mini Rotus collection. Ruadhd2
Well the Yellow Rotus has 255 horsepower dynoed at the flywheel and 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds. Rotus #3 probably has half of the hp and double the 0 to 60 time! I'd like to see the Yellow Rotus go up against Mazda's LS1 Rotus, with someone else but me driving it though! Croc
I dont think Mazda has a Rotus anymore....it went to Seventh Heaven...and was reincarnated into something more evil
athens7
Mazda's car may in fact be the genesis of a whole new category of LSIS-the Motus!

Ruadhd2
Nevermind. Just kidding. No way I want to be near Frankn7 when it launches. Don't want a challenge thread here. I retract.

I'm kidding  Actually, I'd love to run it at the strip once to see what kind of numbers I get, but I've been told I can't run it without a full cage and scatter proof bellhousing.
