BruceBowker
Toying with the idea of removing the entire heater setup from my Caterham Seven. Any difficulties anyone can see? Bruce
11Budlite
Bruce - I removed the heater on my Birkin a while back and use a Gerbing heated jacket and controller to keep me toasty on those days when it's in the 20's. I really can't believe how well it works! The engine compartment has a lot more room to play with and access to the slave cylinder and gearbox top cover is much improved. BruceBowker
Bruce - thank you for your input. I doubt I will drive much below 70 degrees but the jacket idea is great. Bruce
Croc
Are you moving the Seven to Bonaire? No heater would be needed there!
Boxologist
Bruce, your not used to teh 7 on the island. U should move me instead. I'll take only 1/2 the garage!
BruceBowker
Not moving it. Just never drive the car in Winter or very cold weather. Just a thought.
solder_guy
some have suggested to keep a hose running between the two connections to keep sludge from building up in the cooling lines there.
