OK...no dirty comments!

Its our wedding anniversary and we finally tracked down some baby sitting. I'm driving her downtown to a nice dinner. Strapping her into the 4 point harness should be an interesting start to date night.

I'm really hoping she enjoys all the attention the car receives and also that she connects with the fun and freedom of a truly raw driving experience.

I will try not to scare the crap out of her, but I'm going to have to drop the hammer once or twice after she has settled in a bit.

....or if she's anything like my wife she'll puke when you take a corner "Seven style" and never want to go in it again

She is going to love it! Anniversary's and Se7ens go together. I gave my wife ours..... uhhh... I mean hers for our 25th wedding anniversary.

Be careful though. They can get pretty attached to 'em and cut into YOUR blatting time. My wife drove it to work today.

Have a great time and Happy Anniversary. That's the good stuff.

Saw the topic heading and then found out it wasnt about what i thought the topic chat was about. :)

Anyway Twobone I guess one ride will lead to another if you play your cards right ;) so dont scare the crap out of her. Hope you had a good night.

Its was a great night. The car is more comfortable than she imagined and she got a real kick out of all the attention the car gets.

After 3+ years of ownership, I gave my wife her 1st ride this week. She was stranded at the neighborhood pool, 2 miles away. Since I was in the se7en, that's what I picked her up in. She complained non-stop about the fumes and smell of gas in the cockpit (Funny, I never noticed any smells).

It was a success only in the sense that she didn't jump out at the end of the ride and order me to sell it-wh/was my reason for not offering a ride earlier.

I will say that I discovered a way to get even more attention and stares than the se7en usually produces: put a woman in a bathing suit in the passenger seat!

My wife isn't big on just going out and driving around on the streets with me in the S2K but just loves track days. Honestly, she checks out HOD and the local Lotus Clubs Emails for dates we can make it to the track. What is really wierd about her loving the track is that she is very short (5'2") and can't see directly in front of the car because the dash hump is in her line of site. She claims it doesn't matter in the corners because she can see the track better when we are a bit sideways. Personally, riding "blind" down the straights at way over a 100MPH would scare the crap out of me!

I get to track all I want and go out for a drive down the coast or up into the hills anytime I feel like it with out having to make sure she is free or wants to go. Like I said, Lucky Me!!

Congrats for you.

I did the same thing this weekend, new girlfriend and her first ride in the Seven. A quick trip to lunch then she was okay with the 100 mile round trip drive to a friends for a cookout. Top down on the way there, a little rain then top up on the way back. She was a good sport.
