slomove Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 (edited) 3.6 pounds for 789 bucks. (vs. 16 pounds for an Odyssey PC680) Not exactly cheap but probably more pounds for the buck than some token carbon fiber. Edited March 16, 2011 by slomove
pi7ot Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Several people on the forum formerly known as Elisetalk have bought and installed Li batteries. There is/was also info from one of the vendors of these batteries. Not everyone was happy with the tech, but I'm sure that the technology has moved on since I saw the threads a couple of years ago. m

Boxologist Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 well that car goes to 11. well, the gt2 RS goes to 11. ours goes only go to 2 or 3 if we put it on a scale. while high $ priced, i suspect that this will soon be cost effective for weight reduction. how much is a CF driveshaft and how lighter is it? same w/ seats?

Good start but I think even better ROI comes from less beer and burgers. Save weight *AND* cash :hurray: But somehow I am just not motivated for that upgrade.
