supersportsp
Just a shot of JohnCH's Westfield and my Caterham from a cars and coffee style get together in Redmond on Saturday. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v715/tgodbout/se7ensrtc.jpg
Ruadhd2
Just for fun, here's our local Katie's Cars and Coffee held in Great Falls, Virginia. Just a few 7's in these pics (Mazda Is that Frankn7?) but spring is here. Notice the number of supercars, which is related to the fact that this gathering is located in upscale horse country just south of Washington, DC. https://picasaweb.google.com/drsms22/BestOfKatieSCarsAndCoffee# Edited April 25, 2011 by Ruadhd2

JohnCh
We always get a bunch of modern exotics, but not as many cool vintage cars as seen in the VA event. Here are some better pictures of our cars. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o97/mswale/ERTC%208-7-10/ERTC%204-23-11/IMG_4619.jpg http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o97/mswale/ERTC%208-7-10/ERTC%204-23-11/IMG_4617.jpg More photos from the event by this photographer are on this page (post #23) followed by pics from another talented guy. Best car of the day was a beautiful Hispano Suiza with an 18.5L (no, not a typo) airplane engine. -John

Croc
The bigger headlights of the Caterham do give it a look :jester:

JohnCh
My apologies John. It was a Monday brain-fart! No apologies necessary. It's not like you called it an SV The biggest surprise comparing the cars was the difference in front tire diameter. I'm running 205/60-13 RA-1s vs. Supersportsp's 185/55-13 ZZR. The ZZR's looked positively tiny. No way I could run them on my car and still clear a speedbump. -John
Kitcat
Interesting (to me anyhow:)) is how much space is between the clam on the Cat and its wheel vs the cycle fender on the Westfield and its wheel. Perhaps another (slight) advantage of the cycle fender approach? Edited April 26, 2011 by Kitcat
supersportsp
Interesting (to me anyhow:)) is how much space is between the clam on the Cat and its wheel vs the cycle fender on the Westfield and its wheel. Perhaps another (slight) advantage of the cycle fender approach? There is not nearly as much space when I am running the 15" wheels. The 13" with the ZZR's is about 1.3" less in diameter. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v715/tgodbout/IMG_6486.jpg?t=1303832771 We were joking that my whole wheel and tire would probably fit inside the front wheel of one of the 458 Italia's on hand. Croc
That isn't a real Ferrari 250 GTO is it!!!!!!!????? Yes Bruce. I think you have been in Bonaire too long - come home. The local Cars & Croissants in Chatham NJ gets one of these coming along from time to time. The selection in NJ is not as good as the one in VA though...lovely pics. And a pretty nice pic of a Birkin SV (or was it a bathtub?) and a Caterham. :jester: (Hi John!!!)
BruceBowker
Yes Bruce. I think you have been in Bonaire too long - come home. The local Cars & Croissants in Chatham NJ gets one of these coming along from time to time. That is almost worth flying back. GTO 250 is perhaps my favorite of all cars. No idea how they drive but I think beauty beyond description. I am hoping to catch one someday to see for real at the garage that does my repairs. Now where did I put my Big Red Ban Button? :jester: We generally have some pretty cool cars that show up at our event. Last month we had a 250GTO (one of the 3 or 4 notchback style cars), a Koenigsegg, Enzo, Muira, 599GTO, and even a...Westfield . Coolest of the bunch for me though was the Hispano Suiza. Thing was just gorgeous in the flesh. Some good eye candy from the event in this person's gallery. -John
